Well of course they would say that, does that not strike you as really obviously telling people to remain ignorant so that you still support their religion?

No, it does not.

To me, not knowing how God was actually exists does not leave me ignorant at all, I mean why would it? It's something obviously difficult to comprehend as you said so yourself. It's the fact that you believe in Him or not that matters.

And the Quran answers a lot of stuff for me (as again! It is the words of God and there is proof for that) and it hardly leaves you ignorant as you say most religions do. And it's probably only this one thing that is left unanswered.

I'm not racist, I'm against all religions, so I just don't think it's gonna be possible to agree on this point :nice:

If you would like to think so, yeah. But you can't say you are against all religions when you probably only about Christianity. And it's what religions sometimes make people behave like that you are against rather than the religion itself.

And I don't think it's fair that way. To let people who are an educated and uncivilised make you so against it.

But anyway, I wasn't trying to make people with me or against me here. I was just answering back with what I know.

Whoever posted this thread's an idiot. Evolution has masses of evidence supporting it, whereas creationism is just another fairy tale invented by people who want a simple answer to life's questions. Evolution's just another simple answer with a lot of evidence that says it's actually true. So clearly it's better.

My two cents.

I hate white men.

Paul, shut up, this was an intelligent conversationnnn :(

Now I feel bad. :(

20 November 1859. A restless and eager mans walks in circles in a dark, vaulted room. His eyes show anxiety and fury. He seems to be pondering something. All of a sudden, a big cloud shows up on the vault, a deep and fatherly voice asks the man:"Son, what's the matter?"; The man gulped and handed the mysterious entity a text. "This is actually a very neat book" The voice from the cloud said whilst flicking through it "The best book I've read since Goethe's Faust". "Should I publish it?" THe man inquired. "Yes, but thou ought to change the title". The voice from the could answered "But but, I, I have no idea of another adequate title,no, wait, don't go!" the man gasped. And before dissipating the spirit of the cloud whispered "Preservation of Favoured Races in the Struggle for Life Remember is not a nice title, remember to chooseyour title naturally".

The man finaly understood and published the book On the Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection

More and more scientist are saying there has to be intelligent design and evolution is less likely to be true. I think science shows evolution to be false, there isn't enough evidence to back up evolution.

You complete and utter bunch of brainless dicks! We all know creationism is a Biblical poetic account of how the world came to being. Fucking hell.... and I can't believe there are thick cunts out there trying to prove creation is wrong or right.

Bible literalists are retards. Yes, I believe God created the universe, but that doesn't mean he isn't the force behind evolution. If science proves evolution is true, great. It doesn't affect my faith. Whatever science is able to prove, it will just change the way I look at my faith, not whether or not I believe in it.

EDIT: (People who try to "prove" or "disprove" anything in the Bible are idiots as well. Whether it's an Atheist trying to disprove Biblical events or a Priest trying to prove them. It's a matter of faith.)

drug-resistant bacteria?

drug-resistant bacteria?

Did the bacteria become a new organism? No things can evolve or adapt within their own species. But that bacteria can't become something completely new. I think the term is Micro evolution, where thing adapt within their species versus Macro evolution where things changed species. I believe in Micro not Macro.

Oh yea and Sara, I DID just call you a retard. For once I'm disagreeing with you.

Its quite stupid people thing science and faith are enemies, they aren't. Science is pointing towards an intelligent design more and more each year with new studies.

That flowchart is lolz.

Also, I think religous people can completely coexist with science, the science/religion thing's kind of a false dichotomy.

There's a happy medium between the two.

Your first point it right on, but could you show me the evidence you have supporting the second? I haven't researched evolution enough to be able to form a solid opinion on it.

Exactly. If science PROVES something is true, it's true. I'm not going to pretend it's not just because of my faith.

Wow, I'm gonna leave my faith behind now.

Anyways I just felt like posting that picture. I like to leave the options open and say I'm agnostic because I can't prove anything and neither can you, but I would never go out of my way to say you're stupid because you believe all of that or argue about it with someone.

I  this thread.

All non-religious people should strive to be more like you.

Josh if you want a good scientific read, buy the book "Darwinism under the microscope". My dad met one of the authors of this book who actually operated on his eye last year for free.

Also mathematically Evolutions is almost impossible.

Based upon mathematics, if you believe in “evolution,” you posses a much greater faith than I do as a Christian. In fact, your faith must near almost infinite proportions. Before going on, it might be better to first explore what exactly faith is.
