Songs you'd like to hear in the acoustic set

Featured Replies

Recently I've been thinking that I wouldn't mind a longer acoustic set with a few variations.

They currently play:

1. Til Kingdom Come

2. Ring of Fire

3. Trouble/Green Eyes

I think it would be cool to hear Sleeping Sun in there, as I've mentioned before. I also think that as they seem to be talking more and more about the Beatles these days, it might be cool for them to play something like Blackbird in there. I'd also like to hear Sparks, Warning Sign, and See You Soon make their way into this part of the show!

So basically for me this would be a good totally different line-up:

1. A Message

2. Sleeping Sun

3. Blackbird

4. See You Soon/Sparks

5. Warning Sign

ooh, sleeping sun and a beatles cover would be amazing! here comes the sun would be beautiful. too much sun. maybe one or the other

There's no cover called Blackbird. Though the Beatles have a song called Blackbird, but CP has never covered it.

Hmm.. here's how I'd make it. All semi-unplugged at the front of the stage... acoustic.

1. Yellow (Much slower, like the one from the KCRW session)

2. The Drugs Don't Work (The Verve cover)

3. We Never Change

4. Green Eyes

Don't panic !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! no more electric version please :/

else, Sleeping Sun, A message, Warning Sign

help is round the corner (with just chris & guy on stage)

rush of blood

sleeping sun

Sleeping Sun really would be great to hear live.

I Bloom Blaum might not be too bad either. I also think Spies could possibly sound pretty good acoustic.

Instead of it being the first song of the encore, they could put Swallowed In The Sea in the acoustic set like they style they had at the Japan acoustic session. I think that would fit really well and also free up a new song for the first song of the encore, preferably something with a little more energy.

Sleeping Sun, Warning Sign, Clocks, Yellow, Politik are all great acoustic.

Sleeping Sun.

In the Sun

kingdom come, sleeping sun and shiver :D

Well now... I would love to hear Such A Rush... never heard it live and I love the song...

I'd also love to hear In the sun, Sleeping sun (too much sun but what can I do if they're great  )

And another one... Who has EVER heard Ode to deodorant live, ha? I like that one a lot. Maybe the guys don't :( cause they might feel that it's too silly a song, but I don't :P and I'm sure there's a lot others that agree :) .

First of all, Blackbird is a great idea, and whoever doesn't know blackbird, go buy the White Album and do yourself a favor, because you need to learn the Beatles, for real--no offense though....Drug's Don't Work would be great to, and when Richard is there, he could help....Have you heard Ben Harper cover it???? Here's what I would like to see for an acoustic set

1. Easy to Please (a classic) or maybe Careful Where You Stand

2. Touble or Green Eyes (a currently great idea by coldplay)

3. 'Til Kingdom Come/Ring of Fire (they have got to play this, this is why they have an acoustic set)

4. We Never Change, Shiver, Parachutes (something off of their first album, and how cool would another acoustic version of shiver be?)

I would DIE if they did We Never Change acoustic. If you were to ask me for my DREAM acoustic set...

1. Green Eyes

2. The Drugs Don't Work (Verve cover)

3. We Never Change

4. A Message
