Such a hard working, enthusiastic player with a never give up attitude does not deserve the injuries of a dislocated ankle and a broken leg like today ....

i seriously hope that it is not career threatening and i can't wait to see him back in a United shirt after this :( :o

that was weird... :( i saw the full match...

he injured before the World Cup...it's unlucky...

right : Gob bless him, because he is a red devil

Really, when I saw this happen my heart went out to the guy.

Not only does he have respect from Man U fans for being a player who ALWAYS gives 110%, but if you go aroud every stadium in Britain, no fans ever have a reason to boo him because he is genuinely fair playing and hard working. Hes one of football's few genuinely loved members.

Bless him.

I hope to see him out playing again (even if does play for United). When he played for United and Leeds, he always showed passion and a love for the game, which most don't show nowadays. Good luck to the guy. :/

I saw that game yesterday and the injury of Alan Smith was so horrible! :/ I still don't know what happened with him. You said he had injuries of a dislocated ankle and a broken leg?! :( Damn!

But I have to say... it was very fair by the supporters of Liverpool who don't give any whistles to him after his injury.

Yeah I wish him a speedy recovery even though I don't follow United or England but nobody needs that kind of awful injury. I remember when our Henrik broke his leg and it just brought the season right down. Good luck to you Alan pal! :)

yeah to be fair most of the Liverpool supporters clapped him off, which is good but some, and it was quite loud in fact, decided they should sing

'Johhhhhn Arne Riise,

I wanna knoooowwwww how you broke his leg'

I think he is one of the greatest player ever, cause he is always giving everything... but it was sad that he changed team...

Man....

Some fans attacked the ambulance taking him to hospital? Man.... That's sick.

yes it is:(

cant say it enough, but he is a player who ALWAYS give 150%!!
