How long does it take you to trust someone?

 

I'm one of those people who judges people as either trustworth or not, from only knowing them a short while. I was gone for a weekend a while ago and I gave the key to my room to a friend, and I had only known her about 3 weeks. Thats some fair trust.

 

Other people have to work a lot harder, in fact, if I dont trust someone within the first 2 weeks of knowing them, I probably dont end up trusting them, ever.

 

It's also a hard thing to maintain from other people sometimes. You can feel natural dis-trust from people sometimes, and you have no idea how to gain it.

 

It's a tricky thing.

I don't trust anyone. You never know who will stab you in the back--could be your closest friend, boyfriend/girlfriend, or your own family (most likely, in my case). It's safer to just limit trust to a superficial level with most people. You learn through experience who deserves more trust and who deserves none. But I don't think anyone deserves unconditional, open-ended trust.

If I liked a person,I can trust him/her a few days since we met.I know maybe its wrong,but I like to rely on my intuition.

I trust myself... and not all the time!!!!

i dont really trust anyone anymore, which sucks... i used to a bit with some ppl, but i just got stabbed in the back, and leave most secrets to myself...

when meeting new people, id hafta suss them out, hangout with them a few times to begin to trust them. then gradually as i get to know them more i trust them more. im so glad i have my tight group of mates, theres alotta trust going around which im so appreciative of. some other groups at school have no trust whatsoever, especially the 'popular' group, everyone backstabs everyone and they are constantly fighting.

Im kinda of a sucka for this... I usually trust EVERYONE at first. This is bad coz ive got hurt a few times by ppl i thought were my friends...

But like u said Reillo, some ppl u just dis-trust without even knowing them... those ppl i usually never get to trust...

when i trust someone they usually use the confidencial stuff i tell them against me and stab me on the back....when i like someone i trust them and i need to know them really well

After knowing people for a while I usually know if I can trust them in ordinary things (like if they're going to come in time for a meeting), but I can't trust anyone, not even my parents, so much I'd tell them something private... I like to keep things just for myself... I don't like sharing...

I think it's safe to say that I've only ever told ONE person everything.

 

Not even my best friend knows everything.

i trust people way to easily and end up getting hurt.

Is really difficult tell all your life and secrets to a person.

Probably I dont know exactly how I am!

But I am working on it!

When you can talk about everything with a person,that means (in my opinion)

that you are doing the correct thing.

It usually takes me a long, long time to trust anyone... usually at least a year or more... but it's because I'm pathetically loyal once I actually do.

I'm really naiv in trusting people.....if they seem to be nice to me and I know them just a short while I already trust them......I'm not a person who has doubts so fast!

I think this is not that careful of me I know!

hm...I think I start trusting people pretty fast after meeting the for the first time. Of course it's not like that with every single one and it depends on what kind of persons they are but in general.. and I trust different people with different things

I am both ways.. I trust people so fast that it could get me killed, but it takes me years to trust someone with my personal things..
