Regarding tonight's Russell Brand show:

 

Hiya

Just came back from the recording of the show. I think it’s a bit hit and miss tonight to be honest!! Guests (other than DPT) were The League of Gentlemen and Jade Goody. I’m not a fan of either so it was a bit dry for me to be honest. Russell, however was absolutely hilarious. Very funny in the warm up and I thought he was really funny as the host as well. DPT did BBYD, then a short but quite funny interview where Russell questions Gary’s sexuality and then Carl does a quite good actually impression of Russell. Russell then does a spot-on impression of the unintelligible Carlos. The finale was DPT doing a, ahem, “interesting” version of Fairy Tale of New York. Annalisa and some other girl both “sing” on it and that’s all I’m saying. After they ran through it (I cringed all the way through especially when Carl fluffed his lines) I was left thinking “shit, are they gonna let that go out???” Not surprisingly they did a second take. It was marginally better. Think I may turn over at that point, but to be fair I’ve never heard a decent cover of that song........ All in all a fun way to spend a few hours.
