About the show last night;

 

Had an amazing time last night!!! The company was excellent, Joe it was lovely to meet you and Lorraine and Tia, well, love you both!! The Paddingtons were fantastic, I loved bouncing about and singing my head off to them. Then DPT!! Great gig and Carl wearing the tightest skinny jeans I have *ever* seen!!!!!!! Josh played instead of Anthony and did an amazing job, it was a shame Stan couldn't be there but I cant think of anyone better to have filled in for him.

All in all a great night, however it was a let down when at about 1.15am the venue started chucking everyone out. For an event that advertised Bright Young Things plus special guest DJ's (the only one we saw was Lisa Moorish dj'ing after the gig) and cost £35 a ticket it was a bit of a rip off finishing at that time. But we didn't let that spoil the night and carried on partying back at the guesthouse :)

You should definately check out the Libertines. I'd say listen to them before Babyshambles, it gives you a gentler introduction to Peter's style ;) Particularly 'Music When The Lights Go Out' on their second, self-titled. Listen to that and really there's no going back. And pleeease judge the music. Shut your mind to the tabloids and things that maybe people on the internet/television say. They really don't know jack :laugh4: ;)

Leire: if you like Dirty Pretty Things I'm sure you'll like the Libertines - music when the lights go out is really emotional, as Dani said, but lately last post on the bugle has stolen my heart. Aww, and Babyshambles, I could recommend you "Killamangiro" and "Fuck Forever", specially.

 

I understand your point of view regarding what you said about the bands members, but try to listen to them without prejudices. Seriously. They're really good. :heart:

Leire; Like both Dani and Iris said, listen to The Libertines before you listen to Shambles cause well, they're quite different and yeah, the libs really gives you an idea on how truly brilliant Peter is as a musician and I get what you're saying about what you've read but I can honestly say that at least 90% of the tabloidsstuff is just lies, tabloids suck basically.

 

 

 

And might I just say, though this hasn't really gotten anything to do with erm..anything but 'Digital observations' with the Coopers is fucking awsome!

As much as i'll miss the songs if they do totally cut them out of future gigs, i'm actually pretty happy about it. The time has definatley come for some sort of closure now.....I mean, obviously not forget their past or where they came from....but move on and begin to grow as Dirty Pretty Things and really show us what they are all about. I can't wait :nice: Plus soon enough they'll have enough of their own songs to make a longer set list. Woo!
