Ah, random, but Tea you'd know this... in Bound Together, towards the begining, Anthony writes about how the Libertines opened for the Strokes, who basically paved the way for them. And Peter either made a joke or offered something(?) and Julian basically flipped out and was all why would you do that shit?

 

I just always thought that was interesting, the dynamic shown there. Yet every time I've gone to see the Strokes they play the Libs over the PA as part of the music before they come on. So they are fans, I'm fairly sure, but I just never knew if Julian or any of them were exactly close friends with Peter. I do know that they are with Carlos and the lot (?) I think? For some reason I feel like I know they are :laugh4: I'm pretty sure there's a pic of Fab kissing Gary that I really love. But yeah....... I'm always reminded of that, sometimes, when I see Libs fans with Strokes avis or vice versa. They're so intimately related, because a lot of these bands nowadays wouldn't exist without the Libertines, but I firmly believe the Libertines wouldn't exist (well, wouldn't have gained so much popularity) without the Strokes....

I know that they kinda admired and then at one level didn't like The Strokes since they succeded before the libs did and in one way they were both quite similar. But I do belive they're pretty good friends now. They both know Adam Green anyway ;) lmao no, but I think with the amount of festivals they all play at the same time they're probably pretty good friends :)
