About that Pete thing, well you guys pretty much said it all. I admit I still don't a lot of thing about them but I do think Pete is a very talented guy, the music is amazing, and I don't judge him or think less of him just because of the problems he faces. We talked about our vacations and other random suff and at the end I said : we should hang out sometime!, to which he said sure. I didn't think much of it, and then hrs later he sent me a text msg saying that it was really nice seeing me, that I looked nice (damn straight!, lol) and that he'll called me tomorrow to set a date. wooooooo. hahahha, I'm trying to play it cool but I'd be lying if I told you that I'm not checking my cell every 30 min.:laugh3: Lets see if he calls, cause boys say that they'll call and then they don't. Well, he'll call you regarding what he said in his text message. Being honest, if he is really interested in you, he'll do itl, that's for sure and he seems to be... so, don't worry. I can understand perfectly your excitation about that, when you have a crush on someone sometimes that makes you do things you would never expect to do, like checking your mobile phone quite often.

Gah, today was a looong day. :sick: 12-8pm at the hospital with my sister. I'm just emotionally shattered.

When we got there she was sleeping off the anesthetic for about an hour but by the time we left she was a bit more awake and talking, so I feel a bit better now. She's not totally 'out of the woods' yet, but it's all definatley on the up :)

Don't know why, but when I listen to "If you love a woman" I can't help laughing - I heard Carl's voice and I've got the impression he is sooo shameless! haha

 

 

And another thing... yesterday I started to play guitar (the acoustic one) for the very first time. Does anyone play guitar? if yes, how much time did you need in order to learn how to play a song? I'd like to play music when the lights go out - actually I downloaded the chords today and started to try to do it - and when I played the first chords, it wasn't that different than the original song! :dance:

'If You Love A Woman' is probably my favorite DPT song. I just.... oh man. I sing that so often, just to scare all my friends. They all already think I'm a raging lesbian ( :rolleyes: honestly) but lmfao I'm so cheeky. He's completely shameless! I think that's such a good song to dance to, dunno why. It's really different and haha, 'twas the first song of theirs I heard and loved. Just really love the Oscar Wilde reference too, taht I meantioned in here before :nice:

 

 

I play guitar, Iris! I have for a couple years now, and I totally admit I'm not that great! :laugh4: Better at bass, myself.... but heh, I manage! I also know how to play 'Music', as well as 'What A Waster', 'I Get Along', 'Time For Heroes' and a few others. The ones I named are actually really easy, in my opinion of course, to play. I just love 'What A Waster'! heh. Watch out, cuz some arrangements online are the Adam Green version, with the chords inverted and brought up, you need a capo for that.... ;) But I have a version that's really perfect and fits your hands well. I love dancing around my room playing and singing that.

 

Well... I guess it just depends on how long you've been playing and how easily the chords and fret positions come to you. I mean.... I learned a whole song the first week of playing, but I also play some other instruments and understood it? I guess if it's your first instrument it could be hard to understand, but with tutorials and walk throughs online and in books it's pretty easy to get a couple songs down! Just keep at it, it can be really tough the first couple months when you don't have any calluses and your hands aren't used to the positions ;) I know I almost quit cuz my first acoustic (I play my electric, now) hurt so bad. But then I picked up bass and I'm positive I couldn't play my bass without having built myself up with guitar.

 

Sorry, that's my long winded answer :laugh4: But yeah, I think it's all relative. Need any help finding songs to play or getting chords down just ask! :)

I've a suggerence for you, Dani... if you know how to play them, why don't you record yourself playing and singing and upload it on youtube or somewhere? I know I would do it if I could! ;)

 

Actually I know how to play the piano... I had a "private" teacher for one year and a half, so I'm not great but I can play several songs. Last one I've learnt is "9 crimes" and I assure you is bloody easy!!! And regarding guitar, my father played in a band when he was young, so he was with me and told me some basic stuff yesterday - it was really nice! :nice:
