yeah, insomnia sucks all the time, but not only 'cos you don't seem to control yourself and the things you say, but 'cos you can barely think. That happened to me a while ago 'cos of this forum :uhoh: and it was terrible. I even thought I was a hopeless at the subjects I was doing but actually, I was wrong, it was 'cos I didn't sleep enough.

Guitar playing is really addictive. I personally connect more with the bass, and I don't really know why... But I play my guitar and it's so relaxing. Something about the fact that you can actually play a song WITHOUT music is nice, whereas with bass I mean I can play it alone but it usually sound slike nothing :laugh4:

 

Piano should definately help you! I know it's helped me... ;)

 

Nice chord site! I use all different ones, ultimate-guitar seems to be the best though ;) I usually do a search engine for the most popular chord arrangement.

Yes, piano has helped me somehow but they're so different (guitar and piano) - though I suppose that helps the fact of knowing how to play another instrument.

Just a question: once you know how to play guitar, do you also know how to play bass? I think they're similar... but it is only a guess.

Well, playing guitar has helped in some ways to play bass (mainly to strengthen my fingers ;) ). They're actually quite different, though. There's different ways of "strumming" (which you don't really do on the bass) and I actually think that bass is a lot more difficult. Not as much room for error! I never really thought if guitar helps, though... I jump around a lot between them, so I don't really notice! haha

I actually consider myself a lot better at bass than guitar, just cuz I play it more. I mean if I had to choose one to bring with me to college (which I'll probably do...) I'd choose my bass. I agree with that, he definately is the one out of all of them that you just feel like you have to protect him.... I think it's what made me love him, cuz once I got past the drugs I felt like he was just a little lost boy who needed people around him who would help and not hurt him. No one else makes me feel that way, either.

oh, no, you didn't fuck up the beginning!! ;) When you play a song you don't copy the original version, but you contribute with more things, and if in that moment you feel angry, or whatever the feeling you have, you communicate it while playing the song.. you show what you feel! Sometimes I'll randomly slip into a brit accent when I talk too, which is so fucking weird.... And I say all these expressions without even realizing. This bitch Erica likes to copy me and thinks she's cool when she does it too but she doesn't get that I don't do it to try and seem british, I just do it by accident. It's so annoying. But I dunno makes me feel kind of self concious when I'll be singing along in the car and they'll all start laughing cuz I sound like the person singing. I feel like, out of all of them, Peter needs us most. Like the rest can get by with their friends, family and lovers... but Peter needs something else, something outside of that, to stay strong. People may say he treats us like crap by not showing up, but I truly do think that those reasons are not selfish but necessary or accidental, and he really does love us and all that. He's a fragile guy.... Carl I think could get along without the live shows and fans alright, but I don't know if Peter could...

And all the things you said about Peter to i totally agree with i think thats why im a real Pete kinda girl he's just got such charm and he can be so cute. I think thats one of the reasons why Pete went with all of wolfman and people like that because he just needs lots of love from people and he wasn't getting enough from Carl i think it said something like that in one of the documentaries Not that Carl didn't give him alot but he just needed it constantly i really don't know how he deals with all the papers slagging him off everyday cause he just seems so sensitive.

Partly it's a little weird, but taking into account that you mainly listen to British bands and that you do it daily, it's normal that you get their accent somehow! haha, so great to hear you do it by accident - it's as if you were one of them (I mean a British) - and your friend, poor her, she doesn't achieve to have their accent and has to do it intentionally!! :laugh4:

I don't think it's a bad thing to sound like the person who is singing - it's better to be able to do that.

 

Oh, that's for sure. Carl is stronger. All of them are unless Pete, and yes, that's the perfect word to describe him: fragile. Just seeing any interview to him you can realise of that... Ah, and I don't mind what people say, I don't think they're right. I don't think that Pete treats us like crap. Nothing could be so far from the truth than that. :nice:
