just a question - that has nothing to do with the boys - I want to put a gif on my signature, and I tried to do it but it says it's too large - although actually it isn't that large. How could I do it?

It really annoys me to Tea i try not to look on them but usually find my self doing just that. I don't understand why people try to put him down you can tell that he's obviously trying to quit cause he's looking alot healthier but at least people stick up for him.

I dunno...I think there are plenty of people who really admire Peter as a musician and love his music, but that also have the opinion that he is a junkie who has let down too many people too many times, and therefore no longer believe it when it's said that he's trying to get better and really make an effort. Which I can totally understand. Some people just can't keep the faith after let down after let down.

 

But the people who simply think he's 'talentless' and 'a waste of space junkie' are the ones who really aggravate me. :angry: Anyone who thinks he is talentless are either liars or just totally blind.

And also the ones who talk like 'if he really wanted to give up he would' and all that shite. Right. :dozey: Tell me that when you've been addicted to crack cocaine and heroin for how many years now? It's just pure ignorance. :rolleyes:

 

The fact is, we can all speculate as much as we want about whether he's 'trying to get clean' at the moment or not (of course I hope he is), but in reality that's his private life, and we will never really know until it's obvious to see and or says it himself.

 

Which is why I rarely even debate the topic anymore....it's not that I don't care - of course I do, the man's a fucking genius and a living legend in my eyes. I'll always be hoping he sorts him self out one day, and for good.

But until then, I just can't be bothered to argue any more when it just falls on deaf ears most of the time, especially on boards like the DPT one.:\

Well, I don't think he has let so many people down, although I don't know all of the troubles he has had because of the drugs. Anyway, he is a musician and it's his life, and they should know what to expect and I honestly think that Pete has given so many things to his fans... I remember when I started posting in this thread, and I began to know more information about them and Pete, of course, and I was quite surprised by all the things I discovered that he did for his fans, for example, that kind of private gigs he did at his home, or the fact he posts on the forum (maybe it's a silly thing, but for me was important, 'cos that means he cares of his fans, he wants to be in touch with them somehow), and all that stuff.

 

And the ones you say that only see him as a junkie or talentless are because they have believed in everything the media has showed them, either they are stupid.

 

Exactly, pure ignorance. It's so easy to talk about how to overcome a problem and everything you would do when you don't have it... . In any case, if they have it some day, then they'll have a different opinion, that's for sure and even more when it comes to drugs - that's something quite hard to give up! -

 

anyway, what makes me feel happy is that lately we are having good news about him, and he looks so healthy in the last pictures i have seen, i just wish like you that he will overcome his addiction.

Steph, amen to everything you've said. Amen to everything everyone's said in here! It's like we're all the sensible ones. I'm just tired of wondering if someone's clean or using, now. I don't really discuss it either unless it comes up, or unless it really hits me (like the man looking really really great in a picture). Even then, I'll never really say it directly cuz I'm so afraid of being SO wrong.

 

But yeah....... just can't do it that much anymore. If he is, he is. If he isn't, I'm glad. If he continues to make brilliant music, live a good life, be a good person to his fans and friends and lovers, then I'll be happy.

 

 

I don't know, I don't remember what I was really talking about in the first place... ah yeah, DPT and Shambles. Well I hold such a fondness for both bands, and I'm a fan and (I believe) am fairly knowledgable when it comes to both. I listen to both their music, want (and do) go to gigs by them (well, you know what I mean). I think that a lot of the people giving their opinions on there are so fucking cut down onto the Carl line, or cut down onto the Peter line, it's impossible to find anyone straddling both (shit that sounds nice :uhoh: ok anyways haha!). And if someone does it seems that they get cut down immediately. It's unfair.

 

Just because DPT are doing things that may get the whole band on the cover of NME or other magazines a bit more often, well, that's not something to be ashamed of. They're not a "plastic" or "glossy" band just because of something like that. And 'Shambles isn't a crap or arrogant band because they have to deal with what they do.

 

 

I just hate people's shit misconceptions. And I'm glad that I have a place like this, and gals like you, to talk and listen to.

Well my birthday is on sunday , so i thought that my friends were planing something for me , but noooo they all went like oh well we're planning a party for Mau ( an other friend whos bday is on thursday ) so i went ahh , well im having a dinner party on friday what you girls think bout it
