really, it's kind of weird that people who like Coldplay can love these bands.. they're so different in so many ways..

Maybe that's why I loved them right away.. I was searching for music I could relate to.. I mean.. the lyrics they sing are so... I don't know.. You can really feel identificated with them.. They just like.. changed my way of seeing things... ahaha that sounded cliched but it's just the way it is for me..

And even though I have never seen them live or anything, I can feel the connection they have with their fans.. They take the time to tell us what's going on and I read about those gigs The Libertines had at their flats.. I don't think that many bands do that :confused:

 

 

I know exactly what you're saying! This is what they did for me, giving me things to relate to and opening my eyes to a "whole new world" or something :laugh4: ;) They really let me invest myself in a whole slew of "new" bands that I had never considered myself interested in. They've really changed my life, no joke about it.

 

 

I love this thread so much, guys. I don't know how to explain it. I think if I didn't have it I'd probably be a lot less happy, cuz I'd have all this love pent up inside me! No one around me PHYSICALLY understands, and not too many people online get it either :laugh4: I love it cuz we don't fight in here, we're just a happy little internet commune!

Pete Doherty is quitting Babyshambles to launch a solo career, according to a report.

 

The singer is in talks with his old record label Rough Trade and is prepared to make the move because on-off girlfriend Kate Moss wants him to ditch his current hangers-on, who she believes are a bad influence.

 

A source told the Sunday Mirror: "Pete loves Babyshambles, but he loves Kate.

 

"Deep down, he knows he has a better chance of staying clean if he goes solo. They're madly in love and want to tie the knot at Christmas so they can start the New Year as man and wife."
