Oh so late? Ophélie? Ok' date=' then the time is bad! :D[/quote']

There's a difference of time... I'm gonna land around 3.30/4 pm (French hour) so 5pm Cypriot hour  Then I have to wait for suitcases and all that stuff, you know how airports work so it might take a while ;)

Hi :nice:

Ohh noo i like the cool better haha , so i wont share it :P i think shes in Ibiza or something she's on holidays , i dont know the movie ! , if i find it i'll rent it , is it a good movie ? hehe , i saw the lake house like three days ago , its quite good , i liked it :)

Edit : Hi flo :)

oh, thanks... anyway, I prefer the hot! :P

Well, the film was ok but not one of his best ones. It has sth related about "The life is beautiful". Definitely Benigni is quite ridiculous, not only 'cos of his physical appearance, but the way he acts and that made it funny.

oh, I'll watch it then 'cos I always go to the cinema!!! :)

Lars: yeah, it's still Iris!! haha, at the moment I don't have plans of changing it *just kidding* :) Seems you had a very nice afternoon! What happened that incredibly summer in 2003? It was too hot, right?

Giulia: I saw The tiger and the snow and it was actually good.

haha, I didn't cry while watching The life is beautiful if I recall correctly. I only remember that I liked it so much, specially the beginning!!! :D

btw, what did you do this weekend?

I couldn´t imagine watching a film where benigni is doubled with another voice!:P

I think films in general are always the best when they´re watched in the original language, aren´t they?(caurse,,,when you don´t speak the language it´s quite difficult, but....:drunk:)

I'm sorry Iris, but I'm very bad in keeping other names in my mind. :D

Yes, in 2003 we had so many sunny days. Personally it was amazing, but otherwise a lot of people died, because it was too hot. I heard in the news that in Spain you have temperatures over 40 degrees in Spain. Is it right?

OMG!!!! I heard yellow on a saturday night>!!!It felt so strange!!!:drunk:

oh, why not? moreover spanish and italian are pretty similar. I saw its title in Italian and it's just about the same than the spanish one.

Yes, you're right, most times the original version is better, but if you don't understand the language (imagine for a moment you're watching a japanese film or whatever), I prefer to see the doubled (and not the o.v. with subtitles, which is annoying). ;)

I'm annoyed at wikipedia.

Why are you annoyed of it? :nice:

Yeah subtitles are quite annoying!:p....I once tried to watch a movie in spanish--->it´s pretty similar to italian, true;)...I am also trying to learn it properly..my sis has studied it to university and when she gets too speak with spanish people they think she´s spanish! ..that´s so cool!:)

no prob Lars! ;)

I think in 2003 we also had a terrible summer with its hot spell and died loads of people too. I presume this happened 'cos in Germany the weather is much more cold and that was an unexpected change of temperatures... :(

Yes, this is true for Madrid (f.e) but not exactly for Barcelona. Here the temperatures are about 29ºC -more or less- but 'cos of the humidity of the sea, we've the impression that they're even hotter and we can't sleep well the nights quite often.

whooa, indeed this is really cool!!!

to be honest I have never tried to watch an Italian film in the o.v., I only do it with the English ones. Anyway, if you have any doubt, just ask me.. I'm sure it won't be hard for you to learn Spanish, though and there're several singers who are italian that sing in spanish too!

Why are you annoyed of it? :nice:

There is a new band who are getting more and more popular, they got a record deal (with Independiente) back in 2004 when they played the glastonbury new-bands tent coming 2nd to the subways in that new bands competition.

They have released 2 EP's so far, their first single is out next week, and their debut album is out end of the month. They have been given the nod by Jimmy Page and Zane Lowe.

But for some strange reason, someone on wikipedia deleted the page for the reason that the band don't have any 'notability' in the music world.

But allowing some small indie band who were together for 5 months putting out one single which went top 5 before spiting up because they are notabible is crazy.

whooa, indeed this is really cool!!!

Thanks!

Yes there are lots of italians that sings in spanish...but I don´t think it´s so cool...I mean they just do it for money most of the time and not cause they really love the language or anything...though it must be cool for spanish fans to hear their "idol" singing in their language!:) (*imagines chris singing in italian:p*)...

Last week I met a group of spanish guys from Zaragoza! and believe me...italian in this case wasn´t really so similar to spanish!:p....it was quite hard to comunicate!....:(

no prob Lars! ;)

Hehe, I notice your Cataluña flag instead of the Spanish. You in Barcelona are very proud to speak your own language, or? When I was in Barcelona for my first time I was confused about your language. I thought... hö, is it Spanish? :D

Oh, that's very nasty Dave! So, you're going to see the new band?

Thanks!

you're welcome! :nice:

oh, they might do it for earning money. *silly me!* I didn't think about that before, I thought they did it 'cos they really wanted to!!!

This would be a dream... though I have to tell you that I heard Chris talking in Spanish in that gig that I went to :P 'cos Gwyn taught him several words!! I remember him kept saying: gracias, gracias! :D

mmm, maybe if you see it written it's easier than talking in it. I dunno! :uhoh:

well, that was 'cos another member from here asked Ian to have the Catalan one and then he told me that so I put the Catalan flag.

It's not exactly a feeling of pride what we have... the prob (which is quite long to explain, 'cos there are lots of facts) is that we were oppressed by the military regime and we weren't able to talk in our language or otherwise you were look as if you were someone inferior than the others plus other sort of things. In the end, we weren't able to speak in it. :\

Well, here in Barcelona people talk both languages fifty-fifty.

you're welcome! :nice:

anyway chris spoke a lot italian too when I went to see them!!:D he kept saying "state tutti bene?"(are u allright?)or other sentences like "Buonasera, benvenuti a tutti"(goodevening and welcome everybody) and "questa sera canteró con muy(<--see spanish!:p) passione perché siamo nel paese dei cantanti passionali"(This night I´am gonna sing with a lot of passion because we´re in the country of passionals singers) or the best: "questo é l´uomo piú bello del mondo!"(this is the most handsome man in the world) referring to guy

Oh I understand it! That's also a reason why the rivalry between Barcelona and Madrid is very big, or?

Is it similar to Pais Vasco? They also want to speak their own language and also have a terror group called ETA who are fighting for their own country, right?

People, I'm leaving now !

See you on July 31st :nice::wink:

whoaa, Giulia, that was so good (your Saturday night!)! yay!

I guess he tries to learn a little bit of every language (for cheering fans up) if they know they are going to a country where English isn't one of the official languages. That's nice on their behalf. ;) hahaha, I presume Guy felt so good after Chris' comment!!!

In the Barcelona's gig Chris invented the beginning of the GPASUYF, saying: Barcelona tres(3), Madrid zero(0) 'cos of the match bcn against madrid and then...

btw, I have a vid of that moment, so I'm gonna upload it on youtube as soon as possible!!! I don't remember in which one he said: te quieero (I:heart: you) :D

awe!!!

Goodbye Ophélie! I will miss you. ;)
