Hotel prices have gone up so much. The place I usually stay is almost double. I refuse to pay that much for a room that is smaller than my closet.

That's great! I still dont know when I'll be back to the UK.... I'm looking for a job over there.

Where are you going? London?

Yeah it's rediculous isn't it!! I pay an extortionate amount for my shoebox.

There's always my godparents' if they're still around when you go!;)

London and Southampton. Mr Buckland may want to get his lawyers started on that restraining order now. :laugh3:

hello....

anyone here?

definitely none is here. :worried:

It's the weekend :D

Gnah, weekend is running so fast!

I never knew that you're coming from Kazakhstan Dave... ;)

Anyone here who would like to talk (or write) a bit? :D

Oh yeah in Australia it's already over... :(

I still have a few hours. :D Crazy weather here... sunshine... rain... sunshine... rain... :dozey:

Hey Kara! :)

Just read you're in Brighton again for a week?! I can imagine that it's a strange feeling coming back after 6 weeks of uni. How did you travel home and any plans for the following week?

I'm so jealous, on Wednesday my parents are flying to London for a few days and I have to bring them to the airport. :dozey::lol:

Yeah, Im back home, its really nice to be back. Very strange feeling though! Going to see my friends this evening, should be great!!

That's cool your parents are visiting London! Where are they staying and what are they planning to do there? Have they been before? Bet you wanna go though. :\

Hehe, sounds great! I bet you'll have a great time this evening. How comes that you're spending some days in Brighton? Do you have some kind of vacation at uni? By the way, how was your second Maximo Park concert? :)

It's the first time that my parents are going to Great Britain. Strange, isn't it?! :P I always told them how great it was there, so I persuaded them to visit London. They will arrive at Luton airport and then they will take the bus to Marble Arch (we always call it "Marble's Arsch" (Marble's ass lol)). Afterwards they have to use the tube. I guess their hotel is in Notting Hill but I'm not quite sure.

I don't know what they want to visit but they were a bit shocked that the prices are extremely high, especially for touristy things. But they will definitely take a ride with that London Eye. ;)

Still have to wait a month... :(

Yeah, my course has a half term holiday this week...I will go back next Saturday.

Well, I'm sure your parents will enjoy London, unfortunate for them how it's too expensive, lol! They should definitely visit the London Eye, and all of the attractions around that area, The Tate Modern, the river, Big Ben, etc....

My second Maximo Park concert was great. :D

Steph couldnt afford the ticket (I still dont know why I paid so much but hey  ) so I had to go on my own! Luckily I met up with some people who we'd previously met at the Brixton gig three weeks ago. I had to wait ages for them, but then we met with some other people from the Brixton gig too. We managed to get front row, and I was exactly on the centre. It was brilliant!!

Maximo were supporting New Order, so there weren't many of us M.P fans...but it was still great!! Do you wanna see a few photos?

What have you been up to recently. anything fun?

Half term holiday... that sounds brilliant! :D Lucky you!

Yeah, my parents will also visit some football stadiums, for example the new one of Arsenal. By the way... do you know if you're already able to visit the new Wembley stadium? It's not in the centre, is it? So I guess you need to have a Travel Card for more than only 2 zones.

Oh great that you meet some people at the second Maximo Park gig. It's always better instead of going on your own. How did you managed to get front row? I've never been in the front row in my life. I'm also a bit afraid of my ears. Is it very loud there? Did you also watch the performance of New Order or were you leaving the gig just after Maximo Park had finished?

Hm, my life is great the moment. I had two days off on Thursday and on Friday so I was shopping in Bremen and Oldenburg. Friday night I was watching a football match with some of my work-mates and it was a brilliant time. For every goal we had to trink Jägermeister... and our favourite team scored 6 times... I was so glad that one goal wasn't given by the referees although it was regular. Afterwards we played karaoke and poker. Yesterday, as you already saw, I went with some of my friends to a club. It was a cheap evening, because we had free-tickets and every drink only cost 1 Euro. ;)

In an hour I'm going to drive to Bremen, because there is a concert of a German artist. Hope it will be good. :)

I dont think that Wembley is open to visit yet, it still had barriers around the outside, maybe you could check the website if not. Steph goes to uni at the station of Arsenal...hehe!

Here's a photo that I took of Wembley on Friday night

To get to the front row, its just a case of waiting for a few hours and then just running to the front barrier. We stayed at the front for 1 of New Order's songs, then we moved out of the way so their fans could be at the front. I'd have felt guilty if we hadnt moved, lol. I dont find it too loud being at the front most of the time.

Sounds like you've had a good weekend, lots of drinking and relaxing! I wish cocktails cost 1 euro (under £1 here I think!!!!) here. :( I cant wait to go out on Tuesday in Brighton, me and my friends might dress up for Halloween, will be funny!

Do people in Germany 'celebrate' Halloween?

Wow, astonishing! That stadium looks amazing! :o

So that concert was at Wembley, only in another hall besides the stadium?

Nice to hear that you didn't stay the whole concert at first row. I wish everyone would handle the same way as you did.

Hehe, yeah 1 euro ~ 0,67 quid. There are a lot of 1 euro parties here and that's the reason why so many people are going to the clubs. The business competition between the discos here is quite hard. ;)

Oh, you're going to a Halloween party?! :nice: Do you have a costume? I've never been to one, because here people don't celebrate it so much. But during the last 5 years American and British influences became stronger, so now children are going on the streets to collect tucks etc. But that's all! I kinda hate these cheeky kids lol.

Do you celebrate Halloween every year?

Yeah that concert was in Wembley arena, which is just to the right (you cant see it in the pic).

Here was my view!!

Drinks so cheap!!! The place I went to at uni had cocktails 2 for £4, not too bad....and another place in Brighton, the cocktails cost £4-5, it's ridiculous!!!! Usually I dont buy them though, I go for cheaper options haha, or other people buy them!

We dont celebrate Halloween that much here, just the dressing up thing, it's quite commercial. I dont know what to be yet! I was thinking of a killer bunny as i have some bunny ears. Not sure though. thats a bit lame lol! Maybe I could copy Steph and be something from the Mighty Boosh.

Do you have any concerts coming up?

Your view was fantastic. Ah, I would really like to see them again. Do you know if they will release a new album soon?

Oh, that's really expensive. What else do you drink? Do you like beer? My favourite beer is Beck's. Is also coming from Bremen. :) But I know a few people who don't like any beer.

Haha killer bunny sounds exciting. What a coincidence... there is just a special halloween Simpsons episode on TV and there is a brown nasty bunny in it. :D

I never heard something about Mighty Boosh. Is it a comedy show?

Hm, next concerts (signature) are on November 7th (Mando Diao + Razorlight) in Hamburg and Farin Urlaub (a German musician) in Bremen today and that's the reason why I have to go off now, sorry. It will start in 1 1/2 hour. What about you?

Hope you'll have a lot of fun this evening! :) Bye!

I talked to Lukas the keyboard player, he said they are having a new album out in Spring....so concerts will hopefully follow. :D

Lol about the bunny. the Mighty Boosh is an excellent but random/weird comedy show from BBC....you can probably find some of it on youtube!!

My favourite drink is Malibu, but it doesnt get me drunk now, as I always drink it lol!! I dont really drink beer that often, but I dont hate it. I dont have a preference.

Well....hope you have a good time at your concert! :) see ya!
