Im sure GazeboflossUK is gonna come out and say the CFR is a globalist organization group. thats a popular theory with theorist.

  • Author

Yes, I am going to say that.

The Council on Foreign Relations is Bilderberg’s propaganda ministry. Most of the prominent neo-conservatives are also part of the CFR power elite.

It's all linked back to the government top level....of course they are going to say that IRAN is all of those things. The CFR is a none valid sorce on these issues.

The CFR, since its inception, has succeeded in getting its members into positions of power in government, academia, media, corporate America, and international finance. It has, since the New Deal, held a tight grip on the State Department, and to this day exercises an inordinate amount of power in our government, in the Republican and Democrat parties alike.

Wow, scary new level of ignorance.

Although I don't actually believe even YOU can be that stupid to ignore what I said.....so you have just consciously made an effort to avoid it.

we have our military massed in europe. we have many troops in germany, are we going to invade them? we have 50,000 troops in south korea, are we going to invade north korea? maybe maybe not, but the truth is our military is massed by many countries, that means nothing at all.

seeing as how there are many different organizations that agree with them. these arent facts about iran that the CFR just beleives, they are proven facts, that many different councils from MANY different nations know to be proven facts. i can easily give you a million other valid organizations taht have nothing to do with the CFR that will confirm these facts about iran.

the CFR is an interesting group, i love reading theories about them in history and such. because out of all the conspiracy theories i'd say this is the most likely to be true.

If you want to know what life in Iraq has been like for the last 3 years, then this site is worth a read http://riverbendblog.blogspot.com/ The woman who writes the blog has just had a book of her blog published in the Uk, and its been long-listed for the Samuel Johnson Prize for Non-Fiction. Its called Baghdad Burning.

Thanks for the link, I'm going to go check it out right now:)

I've read the first couple of entries, and its very interesting stuff. Doesn't seem particularly political but is very much about the fear and the way of life the Iraqis are experiencing.

Did this blog exist before the war?

Did this blog exist before the war?

Nope, she started it because she survived the war. She 's using it to re-count her experiences of post-war, occupied life. She doesn't have electricity every day even 3 years on, so I'm not sure what the situation would have been like before that.

please back that up with evidence. because i know for a fact we armed the taliban but havent seen any evidence we armed bin laden.

Its a PROVEN fact of iran support of terrorism, they dont evey really try to hide it.

so trying to make a country to where its citizens pick its leader is stupid? freedom is stupid?

Does Iran sponsor terrorism?

Yes. The U.S. State Department has called Iran the world’s “most active state sponsor of terrorism.” Iran continues to provide funding, weapons, training, and sanctuary to numerous terrorist groups based in the Middle East and elsewhere. In March 2006, U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said, “Iran has been the country that has been in many ways a kind of central banker for terrorism in important regions like Lebanon through Hezbollah in the Middle East, in the Palestinian Territories, and we have deep concerns about what Iran is doing in the south of Iraq.”

What other terrorist groups does Iran support?

Iran mostly backs Islamist groups, including the Lebanese Shiite militants of Hezbollah (which Iran helped found in the 1980s) and such Palestinian terrorist groups as Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad. A few months after Hamas won the Palestinian Authority (PA) elections, Iran pledged $50 million to the near-bankrupt PA. The United States, among other nations, has cut off aid to the PA because of Hamas’ terrorist ties.

Iran was also reportedly involved in a Hezbollah-linked January 2002 attempt to smuggle a boatload of arms to the PA. Iran has given support to the Kurdistan Workers’ Party, a Kurdish separatist movement in Turkey, and to other militant groups in the Persian Gulf region, Africa, and Central Asia. Some reports also suggest that Iran’s interference in Iraq has included funding, safe transit, and arms to insurgent leaders like Muqtada al-Sadr and his forces.

What terrorist activities have been linked with Iran?

The U.S. government first listed Iran as a terrorist sponsor in 1984. Among its activities have been the following:

* In November 1979, Iranian student revolutionaries widely thought to be linked to the Khomeini government occupied the American Embassy in Tehran. Iran held fifty-two Americans hostage for 444 days.

* Observers say Iran had prior knowledge of Hezbollah attacks, such as the 1988 kidnapping and murder of Colonel William Higgins, a U.S. Marine involved in a U.N. observer mission in Lebanon, and the 1992 and 1994 bombings of Jewish cultural institutions in Argentina.

* Iran still has a price on the head of the Indian-born British novelist Salman Rushdie for what Iranian leaders call blasphemous writings about Islam in his 1989 novel The Satanic Verses.

* U.S. officials say Iran supported the group behind the 1996 truck bombing of Khobar Towers, a U.S. military residence in Saudi Arabia, which killed nineteen U.S. servicemen.

Ohhh, you will make me cry:cry: ,you make me also remember a provirb here in Egypt saying [ We say Ox they say strip it ]

Ok to make you feel good, who is the leader of Taliban?

How you say Hezbollah is Terrorist group,is just because they dissmissed Israel from the occupied land in Lebnon

How you also say Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorist groups.I confess they have some bad ideas but not terrorist groups,if they terrorist groups as you said,so what you call Israel.

Because they are. they terrorist groups and islamic extremist who are the enemy of many nations in this world. israel is not terrorist group, it is a group of people fighting for their land and right to live. since day one they have been attack by the arab world because of racism and hatred of jews, they ahve been fighting for their servival against many nations who want nothing more then to kill them all. big difference.

bottom line its a proven fact iran supports terrorism, and they support it openly.

I don't think its as easy to be that black & white about things. The Israelis as a whole are not terrorists but they have a had a military organisation which carried out terrorist acts against the Arabs & the British. Their own website here describes how they bombed a hotel and killed people.

Jen's note:

The view of the Arab/Israeli Conflict and other matters currently affecting the Middle East depend greatly on where in the world you were born; what religion you are; what information you have been given; and other varied factors. It doesn't make anyone's views less valid.

Everyone is welcome on this board, and everyone is entitled to an opinion. We need to bear in mind that we have people from all over the world who visit this board. Debate is fine but lets keep it friendly.

Cheers

Sorry but Nazism was spread throughout the world, SPECIALY in the middle east. during Hitlers reign Nazism was spread throughout the Arab world. It took hold in MANY countries and its message of Jew hating was well received. They are fighting for their right to survive, the Arab world has been raging its own Holocaust on the jews since the fall of hitler.

(I temporarily moved this thread to the mods area last night whilst I considered the above post. I wasn't sure about the best approach to take. As we don't believe in censorship, I'm moving the thread back into the forum and am re-opening the debate. The below comment is nothing to do with the forum or any of the other mods or admins, its my personal view.)

I find that last post extremely offensive. To compare the situation in the Middle East with the Holocaust is such an over-generalisation. During the Holocaust, Hitler set out to exterminate the entire Jewish race. He targeted every Jew in the coutnries his forces occupied and succeeded in killing 5 to 6 million of them.

To compare Arabs to Nazis and suggest that they are now trying to carry out a similar thing is not backed by the events happening in the region.

For a start, the Arab population of the area consists of Jews, Christians, Muslims, etc. The Arabs do not belong to any particular religion or country. The term is effectively the same as European. Its a general term.

Secondly, its not an attempt to wipe out a particular people. It is two groups of people fighting over land which, as in a lot of things, is linked to religion. There are people being killed on both sides as each tries to gain the land that means something to them. Part of the problem is that both religions are based on the same foundations, feature similar characters, and have events which occured in the same places. Each considers the other to be an occupying force in its religious areas.

Just reading the Wikipedia piece on "International Law & the Arab-Israeli Conflict" shows what a huge mess the whole thing is, and how difficult to untangle.

I don't see that either side is right. Both sides have legitimate claims to the land going back thousands of years. They need to sit down and work out a solution that is as agreeable to both sides as possible.
