  • I just wanted to say, after 5 years of being part of the Coldplay fandom, first on Coldplaying, now on Coldplaying, Twitter and other platforms, a wonderful thing happened today: Coldplay followed me

  • I ran away
    I ran away

On this day exactly 5 years ago, a young and innocent person who was just getting really into Coldplay wanted to sign up on a forum called Coldplaying. Faced with the question of what to pick as a use

  • Today exactly 5 years ago, I joined the Coldplaying community and I don't regret that that. To be honest, it's probably one of the best things that have happened in my life! I had never thought I woul

I bought some great, and expensive :disappointed:, headphones, now I'm listening to DLIBYH: AWESOME EXPERIENCE! :awesome:

This is so true. :wacky:

Fix you. :megusta:

I went down south to visit my dad and while I was there I met up with some friends I don't see very often, and one guy had his iPod dock and we were listening to music. They are all into heavy metal music and Queen and Pink Floyd and stuff, so I was way out of my depth. They asked me what I liked to listen to and I said Coldplay (what was I thinking?!) They took it surprisingly well actually :laugh3:

While I was there we listened to Time and I was just like 'WTF is this?!' I borrowed some Pink Floyd from my dad because I want to see what the fuss is all about. In return, I'm going to lend my dad AROBTTH and VLVODAAHF :)

^:D

Random thought: I really love the new banner :D

REALLY Random: I just learned that all iPhones in iPhone commercials are set at 9:42,lol.

Yay for music swaps, SuperFitz. I hope the listening experience works out on both ends!

Hell, yes. Quoted for truth .

Random thought: I'm reading that "Roadie" book now. I'm liking it :).

2 hours ago I was in an auditorium for a class and there was a guy sitting a few rows in front of me who was wearing a black t-shirt with "blur" printed in white on its back, and m mind went :

Blur -> Brits 2012 -> COLDPLAY :awesome:

My mom confessed she liked Paradise - "the song where they dance dressed as elephants" :elephant:

But the conversation started as: "So you're going to Cold....play show, right?" She granted me permission to go on a trip for that two months ago :D I love my mum :nice:

This morning I was talking to 2 guys in my class, and I said that last night I watched a Coldplay gig, and he said: "It's useless to watch a gig, I mean it's just a man singing, with some parasite noises from the fans"

I was like: :o:angry: (well, in my mind it was more like: :veryangry::veryangry: )

And he added that going to a gig was useless anyway.

A girl and I argued that it's a unique experience, thousands of people singing together and everything, but still, he didn't change his mind for one bit. And I was like "well, obivously you've never seen ANY Coldplay gig or performance!" And he said "I kinda like Coldplay, but it would be stupid to go to one of their gigs, and I'm sure there's nothing special or impressive, the guy is just doing a few moves while singing"

I was: WTF :o:angry: (but my mind went: :veryangry::veryangry::whip::saw: )

UGH :bomb:

His loss :phu:

That guy clearly needs to get out more . And see a few bands, Coldplay included.

Today, in the bus, my ipod randomly started to play my music loud. :blank:

Somehow it's not that bad, since it was Coldplay I was playing anyway. :nice:

The Albertus font is awesome.

Oh, oh, once I've seen a guy wearing pants reaaaaally similar to Guy's on a bus. The burnt orange color, the cut, there even were buttons instead of a zipper :wideeyed: Oh my, it was tempting to caress those pants   :D

God, what an idiot !! He's just doing a few moves while singing.

PFFF

On Thursday I'm gonna play Coldplay music for my class and I will have to talk about why I chose that music. Excited to play Coldplay.. not so much to talk in front of the class...so nervous!

But I will probably talk about liking Coldplay since i was 10, and how i saw them in Chicago AND how I will see them twice in April! :D

I have lots to talk about.

I also gotta think about a short playlist to play for them...suggestions?

i think

1. Clocks

2. yellow

3. viva

4. Dont panic

Aw, that sounds fun! A homework topic you can actually enjoy doing ! I fully understand about being nervous about speaking in front of people, though. But if it's a topic you enjoy, that helps make it easier.

I like your list. You've got a few of their more well-known songs, and then one that might not be as well known to the class. Maybe if most of the notable songs you have are piano-based and slower you could pick a more guitar-oriented song to balance it out or something? And if it's not in there already, and you have one, maybe put whatever your favorite song of theirs is in there-that can help in the presentation and you can talk about why that song means so much to you and everything.

Good luck with the project!

:laugh3: I understand that temptation.

I too love that version of "Shiver". Gaaaaaaaah.

So I ordered the band's 2003 concert DVD on Amazon tonight. Can't wait to see it.

Oh you'll really love that Angela.. :) It's one of my favourites.

I've no doubt :D. I'm looking very forward to it arriving-going to be keeping a much closer eye on the mail for the next few days or however long it takes.

I'm hoping it arrives on a day I don't have to work, because otherwise that's just going to be torture :p.

Yeah.. true. Oh and make sure you watch the tour diary. I know you will, but it's great. I wish they'd make one of this tour.. It would be so interesting seeing the difference nearly 10 years makes.
