  • I just wanted to say, after 5 years of being part of the Coldplay fandom, first on Coldplaying, now on Coldplaying, Twitter and other platforms, a wonderful thing happened today: Coldplay followed me

  • I ran away
    I ran away

On this day exactly 5 years ago, a young and innocent person who was just getting really into Coldplay wanted to sign up on a forum called Coldplaying. Faced with the question of what to pick as a use

  • Today exactly 5 years ago, I joined the Coldplaying community and I don't regret that that. To be honest, it's probably one of the best things that have happened in my life! I had never thought I woul

I almost died when i heard Coldplay live songs on the radio. :dead:

It was Viva and Lost.

I think they said it was from the Munich show (?) but I'm probably wrong.

I KNOW RIGHT!!!!! i was like "WHO? WHAT GAHHHH HOW IS THIS AMAZINGNSS HAPPENING!!" but it did!! it was on like a alternative station but i was like wow this is crazyness! but its amazing so i won't complain! :)

Is that actuallly his fav song?

Oh really? i missed that i shall go fine it! lol

My laptop stuffed up this morning, so I snuck into my brothers room to use his, and I found his iPod. I looked through it, and in amongst the rap and metal songs, there were six Coldplay songs!!

I never knew he liked Coldplay.

:P:D:)

ON Sunday, VH1, Denmark played the greatest songs (in Denmark) in the decade from 2000 to now. I was looking forward to finding out whether Coldplay would be represented by VIVA la Vida or Clocks - and also whether U2 would be represented by "A Beautiful Day" or "Sometimes you can't make it on your own".

After 3 hours of playing the greatest songs (in Denmark - 4 or 5 really big Danish hit songs were played), I was a great deal wiser.

The answer was: NEITHER COLDPLAY NOR U2 WERE PLAYED. :veryangry2: :( The songs played were all really big hits in Denmark - and admittedly, Coldplay was never that popular in Denmark - it helped somewhat in 2008 with Viva la Vida, but Coldplay was not represented. And I did not hear them played on VH1, Denmark on Sunday (except for last night with "God Put a Smile Upon Your Face", I think).

Why is that? Not the kind of music most Danes appreciate?? I could write something better (with a little luck).. what were the 4 or 5 big hits like?

The list was not perfect without Coldplay, U2 and Gwen Stefani (her Sweet Escape was a great hit in Denmark in 2007 - no. 2 after Justin Timberlake feat. Scarlett Johannson in the year-end chart from I'Tunes Top 40).

They just played VIVA LA VIDA on VH1, Denmark - some remedy is also necessary after SUNDAY where that TV station really sucked (wrote about it on another thread about non-CP-related thoughts).

At one point in the VLV video during the Ooh, oohs - Chris is doing some strange movements - and a long time ago when seeing it, I thought: WHAT is Chris doing - milking a cow? And in that very second Jonny is shown singing the "ooh, oohs" holding his head backwards - and I thought of him as the cow being milked by Chris and a second later Will. Weird, I know - but that was my thought one time I watched the video of that very awesome, beautiful, almost divine song . :laugh3: :D

Yay, I thought I was going to miss the 1000 page post today while I was at San Deigo today, guess not...

Anyways, my random thought...On my way home from San Diego, I fell asleep and my sister's iPod was on shuffle and I woke right when Yes was starting. I just started singing out of nowhere and my sister started laughing because she thought I was asleep.

I was thinking about how awesome it would be to have a song I wrote be played by Coldplay today. Then I thought they should have a contest where people send in their lyrics and the top 3 get sung by Coldplay. :P That would be awesome. :smash:
