Do you think that the relationships forged through alcohol might be superficial? I'm not saying anything, just talking freely. Everybody acts different with booze. It sort of warps you into somebody different, who's to say they wouldn't like you outside of the party?

 

I just don't like to see people my age rely on alcohol so much, it can really REALLY lead to problems. My cousin started drinking at 15, now he's 31, beats up his mom, wrecked tons of cars, has no job (at least not a job for more than a week) and is currently in a detention facility. He's ruined that side of my families lives. I don't think alcohol is a bad thing, I take a drink every now and then (and even then, more than one;) ) but.... I've seen it do horrible things to people... I can't help it that I prickle when I read about people relying on it so heavily...:\

 

EDIT: I'm not saying that you're going to become my cousin. Not at all.... but it could happen. He drank for much the same reasons, to make friends and feel accepted and "relax" (his family was also alcoholic, it's how he found escape). It's really depressing...

How does it make a relationship not deep? it can, just like anything can. playing a sport together can make deep relationships, like many things. partying is no different. the fact ive made friends with people from parties does not mean they arent deep relationships.

But they are the best of the best, they have the best personalities, the most fun, do the best and most fun things. I will never find many people that care that much about me, thats how the world works, even your close friends, most of them will screw you over or leave you at one point or another. that is a fact of life, atleast for me, and probably for most people. they are not worse friends then unpopular kids are. infact they are better then most of them.
