Heil Bellamy!

My parents never made us say grace ever, they aren't that religious

My parents kept up with prayer before bed a bit longer though - until I was 8 or so.

but I've been seriously questioning my beliefs since that :blank:

Same here. I still believe, but my beliefs overall are a lot more complex than they used to be. I have more of an open mind too.

I'm trying to remember if we had a morning prayer and a kind of leaving prayer in school

The only prayers I say now are Hail Mary in irish and "oh sacred heart of jesus i place all my trust in thee" x 2 at the start of every maths class :inquisitive:

I don't really go to church anymore....if I go then it is just, because it is christmas and my mum wants us to go to church then at least...I know that is hypocritical, but I do it for my mum.

I went to the grave yard last monday, because it was a catholic holiday here Germany where you esp. think of the dead ones....and I realised how much I can't relate to that stuff anymore...I felt rather awkward...

I live in a small village....people are really stuck here and hypocritical, esp. when it comes to going to church...I hate it

The only things we have to say in school are the Pledge of Allegiance. They were really strict about it in middle school (you had to say it, had to be standing straight, etc.), but in high school they really don't care. :P

I find the pledge of allegiance so weird D: did you do it as an assembly or in class?

My friend from america said they had to do it as an assembly before classes.

We have a student say it over the loudspeaker during morning announcements, and everyone just kind of follows along.

I was class treasurer in 8th grade so I had to do announcements. :wreck: I hated it. :bigcry:

I am terrified to do an announcement. I have been part of my school since september 2005 never been asked to do one, And I plan on keeping it that way.

My friend became known as the announcement girl two years ago cause she did hilariously awesome ones :D Her and my other friend did a grease style one, but I was sick that day

I'd love to do fun announcements. But they gave us a paper to read off of, and they didn't want anything different. :\

I'm always absent on the best days. :bigcry:

If it's for our own thing then we get to make up our announcement.

We were selling fruit salad cups for lunch as part of environmental studies ( fun no work class )

so we had to advertise it.

That's so cool!

A few weeks ago...I used to go every Sunday, but once I got to high school I went less and less. And now that I'm in university I just don't have time! :shame:

I used to go every sunday but then the church had money problems and i've yet to look for a new one :shame:

My family usually goes every week, but sometimes we skip and go to the movies haha.

I like going to church because I love the atmosphere and the feel of it. And I like singing with a large group and listening to the organ.

The only times I go to chuch are for funerals, weddings, baptisms but I feel awkward if there are too many super religious hymns cause I'm not a religious person at all. I did actually go to a service last year, but only because my parents choir was singing there. It was 7am on christmas eve :freak: I'm quite proud that I managed to get out of bed. I do enjoy visiting churches cause I like the atmosphere and the architecture :nice:.

I think the last time I went to chuch was for a funeral in the beginning of the summer, it was probably the sadest funeral I've ever been to. :disappointed:

Don't really like churches.

I visited one this summer, just to look inside. Haven't been to one for religous purposes since my cousins baptism, I guess. 12 years ago?
