Cool things you've learnt at school or just life in general

Sex education ruled, but our teacher was really really gross and she started telling 'bout her own experiences with a little contraceptive device called sponge (?), and how she couldn't get it out so she had to ask her doorman (ew)

I remeber our first sex ed class in year 5 and the teachers talked about how babies are made and some girl threw up :laugh4:

the best thing I learned at school: definitly English!!!

my teacher found it quite embarrassing to talk about it, which you noticed all the time.

best thing,no...most useful, absolutely

aha, I agree with Maia, those lessons were pretty interesting - and useful! :laugh4: We laughed a lot.

Another cool things that I learnt there: the Greek mythology stories, erm... let me think... aaah, and one sentence of our physics teacher that I'll never forget:

"When you're looking at the stars, you're seeing your past"

The greatest lessons I have learned have been from my children. They teach me something new about life everyday.

Yeah, I think it's what you learn outside of school that really proves invaluable in life!

Oh yes...this thread is like made for me.-...

because I realised in the last weeks that the things I learn in school are really important for me...and mean something to my life...although it is boring sometimes....

especially in my german, english, history and even religious education lessons!

i learned the most important things ... (me thinks) in religious education ... and english

Oh well, I'm guessing you went to a Catholic School. I'm at a public school so there's no religion involved, which is good because I'm jewish nd I'd be offended if I were obligated to learn about Catholicism

what did i learn? hmm swearing a lot haha

I've learnt that over thousands of MSN talks

the best thing i love and learn alot about right now is Drama

its such a great way to learn communication skills, respond to different situations, and improve your confidence.

my drama class is the best class ever. there is not a lesson gone by that i havent laughed so hard that ive had tears coming out of my eyes. and ive learnt that if you put alot in...youre going to get twiceas much out of it

aha, you're right but here everybody has religion as a subject wether you go to a public school or not... Anyway, the advantage is that religion always raises your grades 'cause it makes average with the other subjects.

Okay, I understand that you'd be offended if you were obligated to learn sth about that but my parents aren't religious at all, they're atheistic but I went to a religious school 'cause they didn't want me to be like that... and they were completely right, 'cause I realized of all the drawbacks that religion has. ;)
