Departed? :uhoh: What do you mean by departed?

"Panic At The Disco guitarist Ryan Ross and bassist Jon Walker have quit the band in order to pursue individual music projects.

The announcement was made via the band’s website today (July 6), saying:

"Ryan Ross and Jon Walker will be leaving Panic At The Disco to embark on a musical excursion of their own. Though the four of us have made music together in the past, we’ve creatively evolved in different directions which has compromised what each of us want to personally achieve. Over the years, we have remained close and honest with each other, which helped us to realise that our goals were different and that parting ways is truly what is best for each of us. We are all excited for the future, you should be too.

-Ryan & Jon"

The message also states that singer Brendon Urie and drummer Spencer Smith will continue to make music as Panic At The Disco, and upcoming tour plans will go ahead as planned.

Ross, who was also the main songwriter in the band, is currently working on solo material in Los Angeles."

Oh wow. :stunned: My friend is a big fan of them, so... poor her. :\

Is a band still a band if everyone leaves? I will have to ask Axl Rose.

I saw them live (they were on a first part of a gig I went to) and they were awful....Dull, no presence on stage, they almost make us fall asleep! Very disappointed. Not a shame that they split up....>.>

Some of their songs on there newest album are pretty good. mainly "nine in the afternoon", "the green gentleman" and "northern downpour"

I'm very disappointed that half the band has decided to leave.

Saw them last year and they weren't exactly great but I guess that was mainly because the last album was very ... dull?

Apparently the new album with the remaining two members (Brendon Urie and Spencer Smith) will sound more like their debut album which is a step in the right direction in my opinion.

The other two (Jon Walker and Ryan Ross) will continue with the more boring sound of the last album.

I dunno why these guys got so much stick :/

All of the songs I heard from their first album really were nowhere near as bad as people made them out to be, I actually liked a couple.

I liked PATD's first and second album. I like Fall Out Boy, but I'm not to hot on their new stuff. I think PATD has a different style of music than them, though.

I'm a little sad that Ryan and Jon decided to leave because I liked them both in PATD. I really liked Pretty.Odd. too, way more than A fever you can't sweat out. I think they changed styles completely over the record, but I'm still happy with them both...

So Urie is not going solo, as i asked here?

Then why there were so many scrobblings of him on lastfm main page recently?
