Yeah and there's lots of English people over there, which might help you a bit at the beginning. I actually met more English people than Spanish people when I was in Barcelona. Still it's a tough decision to leave your country...

I have friends over there whom are catalan.... plus I am not shy in speaking to people unless I fancy them, I see it as a chance for a new start.

oh really? I've always thought that a few people talk in English here - and I don't feel proud at all of that - 'cause almost everybody talks in Spanish or Catalan. English is our third language but nobody really uses it and moreover, our level is low... :sad: Only foreigners talk in English. <-- let's just hope I'm wrong.
