My favourite player so far is Germany's Philip Lahm....

 

He still has an injury at his elbow...and when he injured the elbow (it happened in a match before the world cup...)...I so hoped that he could play at the WC....and now he can..

in Germany's first match he scored the first goal of the WC....

and the way he was happy about this goal...awww.....watching this made me happy...he was also an important part of this match against Costa Rica...

Hehe...and he is such a sympathetic and cute player......hahaha....

 

I hope so much for him that he will play a great world cup...YES!

After tonight's terrible :angry: performance, my LEAST favourite player is Ronaldo!

I have two faves.....David Beckham *droool* (:wink3: :dead:) and Alessandro Del Piero (and pretty much all the guys on the Italian team, hehe).

Rosicky...partly because he's coming to Arsenal. I thought he was sehr gut, the other day. This may sound biast, but Kolo Toure also has been really good..and another Ivory Coast player, Zakora(spel?) impressed me.

Erm, and I agree Roben was good, pity he doesn;t get a chance at Chelsea.

Brazil shouldn't play with 2 similar style players like Ronaldo and Adriano. for me it's obvious that Adriano is much better at the moment, Parreira should drop Ronnie from the starting 11. i'd put a midfielder instead of Ronaldo (let's say: Juninho Pernambucano or Cicinho) and make an attacking triangle: Ronaldinho - Adriano - Kaka, with a strong midfield line behind them: Emerson - Juninho (Cicinho) - Ze Roberto. in theory it should be more effective than today's team...imo

hmm, i've got a few players im impressed with: shaka hislop from trinidad and tobago-fantastic goalie; kaka, robinho and of course ronaldhino from brazil; erm...joe cole and gary neville from england, they proved themselves worthy in their match :) and of course, david beckham.

 

but what the hell happened to owen and ronaldo in both of their games?!?! quite disappointing.

Messi hasn't done anything so far, but I'm hoping for a demonstration of his abilities, one well made goal would be enough

I can't believe you didn't mention Marek Jankulosvki there!!! :o My favourite player of the tournament would be Tomas Rosicky, not only coz I'm rooting for the Czech's but he scored two great goals against the Americans, great player, lucky gunners!
