It was built as an overflow for london, and the cinema shut 5 years ago (mainly because it was crap and expensive), basingstoke is a lot nicer
June 28, 200620 yr Brighton Pros: Nice town, lots of cool interesting shops and restaurants + clubs and bars Really good bus service (although the prices keep going up :dozey: ) Very close to London (less than hour) Very close to Gatwick airport Countryside on one side, sea on the other side. Quite good for up and coming bands the last year or so Cons: High cost of housing/living I guess No really big sports stadium or ice rink or anything like that, when there SHOULD be in a city of my size No parking....and expensive parking in the city...too many buses at times.

There's nothing really, not even one shop where you can buy clothes, no place to go out at night, couldn't be more boring. But there are positive things about my country of course. So is it close to London? I guess that would be a pro.

I completely agree with the buses. I forgot to add that Walbottle has no metro station in any rational distance. :( And... I'll take your word for it. But I hope to never find out, since chavs around my age and just younger are really really bad.

They are no doubt scummy, but they seem to just scum around their own little colonies of chavness and not bother normal people. Any fight or disturbance I've seen that involved a chav, doesnt involve a normal person, just another chav or another group of chavs. In Ireland its different, you cant get a fucking train, or go to an amusement park, or walk down a long street without getting bothered by them, and if you try and stick up for yourself and maintain any form of dignity, they pull knives or pick up their phone to gather their inbred fucking family. The last account I had of running into a geordie chav was at the metro when leaving England, there was a group of them, being loud and annoying as usual but not directly annoying me. One of them asked me for a light, which I had, so I gave him a light and he said "thanks very much mate cheers" and offered me a cigarette, which is 100 times more courteous then Irish chavs can even comprehend. That was my rant ;)

That was my rant ;) Yeah I can relate to the cigarette thing, but it's loads different at younger ages. And my sixth form is on the same grounds as my highschool so I see these younger charvs every day. They're a lot less civilized as the older ones. I mean, my bro is 12 and I'll see some charv pushing up to him every week at school. He spends all his break times and dinner times next to the basketball courts cause some kids (usually older, 14, or so) will start some trouble with him and his mates and he can shout me over to get them away. Only reason it's died down now is cause about 75% of the kids in the school realise my Dan has a big brother to protect him and his mates. It's sick. I mean. I've had kids about 14 kicking footballs at my brothers mates trying to hurt them. Needless to say they're footballs end up popped. Stupid fuckers. It's all for no reason aswell. Cause my bro's in the first year. It's not only him aswell. I break up about 30 fights a week between charvs and kids they're bullying. And my school's one of the best for this in the city.
June 28, 200620 yr pros: its easy to steal stuff and get away. cops(or anybody) can be easily bribed. free internet. its sunny 95% of the time Chris martin said coldplay are gona play here.....one day (I GOT EVIDENCE) cons: its easy to steal stuff (or commit any crime )and get away. the radio stations play absolute crap. the record stores hardly sell good music. Rock stars hardly/never visit Oh & our soccer team ,embarassingly, never made it to the world cup :lol:
