that was always expected. i'm surprised Radiohead didn't win the world cup because they have a big fanbase here and they are more similar to Coldplay than than Muse are ... being on a Coldplay board and all its what you expect.

 

 

 

i expected them to loose ... not to be slaughtered. I mean, considered the good job they did against U2 means that there is a fanbase here too. There are people around here that like/love Muse, they just need to come out :P

i said somewhere before in a thread, that this tournament was basicly about to come to know about NEW bands...but after that Radiohead beat Elliott Smith by 30 votes, i gave up and said to myself "this WC is screwed up"...

When asbsolution was released ppl was actually excited here whoa, miss those old members like sammie, jess,mary,hicksy, etc who were as addicted as we are to them :P

This is ridicuolus. I'd never care if somebody thought I'm not a real fan and just like the band. And why do you people think that it's impossible to be fan of a few bands at one time?..

I'm a Muse fan, but I must admit I haven't heard enough Radiohead to decide what I really think about their music. In the past I was often told what type of music I should like or dislike and for a long time I didn't accept any advice from anyone when it came to music.. well I've got over that (I think:thinking::D) and I've found some amazing bands thanks to this forum. Nowadays I like to give bands a good listen before deciding how I feel about them. Some bands I like instantly but some take a longer time... Radiohead is one of my future projects;)

 

but at least for now, I enjoy listening to Matt, Dom and Chris almost over any other band so it's Muse for me:cool:

Well, how about if you just called it a match-up and changed the voting criteria and just asked people to vote for the best band (between the winner and CP) - kind of like the FIFA Confederations Cup? Just a pure and simple vote, no absolute criterion applied. They could vote based on talent, popularity, etc. Anything that fits their own definition of what is "the best"...
