Rooney v Conaldo: The Re-match??

Featured Replies

Wayne Rooney’s bitter feud with Cristiano Ronaldo could re-ignite today. Portuguese winker Ronaldo will come face to face with Rooney for the first time since their World Cup bust-up at Manchester United’s training ground.

England star Rooney was shown the red card for kicking out at Ricardo Carvalho after Ronaldo had demanded his

club-mate should be sent off in their quarter-final battle in Gelsenkirchen.

And Sharpe is convinced the United winger can forget about being welcomed back with open arms.

Former Old Trafford ace Sharpe, 35, rapped: “Ronaldo came out and said there’s no problem between him and Wayne.

“Apparently they sent texts and kissed and made up — but I reckon there’s still going to be a bit of an atmosphere when they walk in on the first day of pre-season training.”

Sharpe doubts if Rooney, 20, is capable of forgetting Ronaldo’s ‘outrageous’ behaviour, which has made him the Premiership’s Public Enemy No 1.

Ronaldo, 21, angered millions of England fans by winking at the Portugal bench as Rooney trudged off for an early bath.

Sharpe added: “In the heat of the game these things go on but you just don’t expect it from your team-mate.

“You’ve got to play with him week in, week out.

If Rooney was a remotely decent being, he'd forget about it all. But because he's a thug he won't :nice:

I'm pretty sure all this media hype isn't helping matters either.

I can't wait to see how many boos and whistles "Conaldo" attracts at Man U's first away match next week. I'll be there!!:D

Away to Charlton is it?

Yup!:D

Should be fun!

He does. I just read in the newspaper recently that he is having increased security for him and his family because he's still at Manchester United. It made me LOL so much because the article was just gearing but falling short of saying 'to protect C. Ronaldo from Rooney himself'.

Are you suggesting Rooney might be gay??

no, im suggesting that a LOT of pissed off Man U fans might wanna get their hands on good ole Conaldo.

I thought he was going to Spain to hide away in some hole called the Bernabau?
