August 15, 200619 yr The lead singer of Blue Merle is the closest Chris Martin sound-alike I've heard. http://www.myspace.com/bluemerle What do you think? Anybody know of any others?
August 15, 200619 yr Wow, he sounds a lot like Chris. It scared me at first. O: I quite like it. It's nice music.
August 15, 200619 yr I asked this in the random thoughts but didn't get anything back... there's some guy named Matt something, I heard his song in the mall and wasn't sure at first whether it was Chris or not. Anyone know who I'm talking about?
August 15, 200619 yr omg!!! so close!! I'm shocked! there's another singer' voice which is quite close to chris' one: Michael Stipe from REM. Don't you think?
August 15, 200619 yr he really sounds like chris :D...till now i never heard enyone who sounds like chris
August 15, 200619 yr omg!!! so close!! I'm shocked! there's another singer' voice which is quite close to chris' one: Michael Stipe from REM. Don't you think? Well, i dont think Michael Stipe's voice is quite close to Chris', or maybe just a lil bit similar. But that guy from bluemerle has really shocked me! That resemblance is so scary!
August 15, 200619 yr he sounds a lot like chris, but lucas' voice is raspier and darker in my opinion... scary, isn't it?
August 15, 200619 yr Goodness, this guy is Chris' Nashville counterpart. :shocked2: From Amazon.com: "This Nashville band may have lifted its name from the lyrics of a Led Zeppelin song but listeners expecting nine-minute guitar epics about medieval orgies and fiery demons are bound to be disappointed. Blue Merle favors a lighter touch, as sketched out on the wistful title track of its debut album, Burning In The Sun. The jangly song evokes the Dave Matthews Band with its lilting fiddles and spiraling rhythms, while singer-songwriter Luke Reynolds sounds like a dead ringer for Coldplay's Chris Martin. Having played Bonnaroo, toured with Donovan Frankenreiter and recoded with Matthews producer Stephen Haris, the band seems destined to find a home with the Relix crowd. It would be a shame if it settled there. Rich, emotionally detailed songs like "If I Could" and "Stay" not only transcend genres, they're capable of changing lives." edit: OH DFPIBRG THIS WAS THE GUY I WAS LOOKING FOR! :laugh4: :laugh4: It was Burning in the Sun I heard in the mall! Haha... Burning in the Sun... Sleeping Sun.
August 15, 200619 yr omg!!! so close!! I'm shocked! there's another singer' voice which is quite close to chris' one: Michael Stipe from REM. Don't you think? In a way, yes, but I think Michael Stipe's voice is deeper and more... mature, if that makes any sense. It's a different sort of vocal quality they both have. Chris's voice just sounds higher than Michael Stipe's.
December 19, 200619 yr there's some guy named Matt something, I heard his song in the mall and wasn't sure at first whether it was Chris or not. Anyone know who I'm talking about? Could it be Mat Kearney? His voice sounds a lot like Chris. Or is it just me?
December 19, 200619 yr chris has his own individual voice...actually... but any resemblance...ok cool....
December 19, 200619 yr I dont think that Chris and Blue Merle sound that alike, but I do love Blue Merle.
December 20, 200619 yr isnt there just something special about Chris's voice, i can pin why its so beautiful (bar the beautiful falsetto he has)
December 7, 200718 yr I agree Chris's voice is very unique but Damn, I heard Mat Kearney on the radio today and swore it was Chris. It was a piano heavy song called Breathe in Breath Out, and I was sure it was something new from Chris. Have a listen here >>> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSSGhWjFiHg
December 7, 200718 yr Wow, thats more similar to Chris' voice than the guy from Blue Merle... :shocked2: Interesting. His falsetto sounds different though.
December 7, 200718 yr Mat Kearney? His voice sounds a lot like Chris. Or is it just me?I'm definitely with you on that one; I almost thought it was Chris Martin singing when I first heard "Nothing Left To Lose". Bono (of U2) and Chris Martin have always struck me as having a vocal similarity that is difficult to explain. The best example I can think of is to imagine Chris singing "City Of Blinding Lights" and Bono singing "Talk".
December 7, 200718 yr Could it be Mat Kearney? His voice sounds a lot like Chris. Or is it just me? its not just you. matt kearney sounds FREAKISHLY like chris to me. i almost had a heart attack the first time it came up on my friends ipod: i thought it was coldplay material that i had somehow never heard before!
December 8, 200718 yr OMG i have to agree with you, but Mat Kearney rocks too lol its not just you. matt kearney sounds FREAKISHLY like chris to me. i almost had a heart attack the first time it came up on my friends ipod: i thought it was coldplay material that i had somehow never heard before!
