Ondes Martenot
Nik' date=' I don't quite understand te wildcard thing. If you want a particularly song/album to get more points, why not just put them higher up the list?[/quote'] i know what you mean. but let me explain... example: let's say your favourite album is AROBTTH and you put it on the 1st place, it means it gets 500 points. but let's say another album let's say Rubber Soul is 2nd on your list. naturally you would give +50 for your 1st place, but (!!!) in this case would you give +50 to AROBTTH? i mean that would be unlogical in my eyes. you know that AROBTTH will get hell a lot of another votes and just adding +50 points to that album is just pointless and wasteful in some parts, even if it's your favourite. so that's why Rubber Soul which is 2nd gets +50, because maybe it will get less votes than Rush Of Blood. of course you can say "why don't i switch them then?". well, if i like an album more than another one i wouldn't switch them, but if i know that an album which is 1st on my rating will get more votes than the album no.2 on my list, i would give +50 to the album on the 2nd spot hopefully could clear myself  so basicly this WC thingy is kind of help for some less popular (i hate to say this) songs/albums on this forum ;) P.S i don't know how many lists we'll get at the end, so +50/-50 points might or might not play a big role, we'll see
Ondes Martenot
Coldplay - arobtth+50 ... yes, as Sam said re-organize your list, please. also read the 1st post once again: max: 5 (!!!) albums alowed from an artist. and also please don't use abbreviations like DM, FF or AROBTTH, post the full name of a band or/and album

gentleparachute
Question - A bit unlikely, but are covers (of songs) allowed? And if covers are allowed, what about live covers e.g. Stop Me (If You've Heard This One Before) as performed by Chris, Jonny & Noel Gallagher - which was originally recorded by the Smiths? And I guess if covers are not allowed, then what about if I vote for a song based on the covered performance (e.g. same scenario above) but credit it to the original artiste ie the Smiths? Also, are OSTs allowed? If not, what if they're all by the same artiste / composer e.g. About A Boy (Badly Drawn Boy) or LOTR (Howard Shore) or Catch Me If You Can (John Williams)? What about classical albums / compositions? And I guess in the same vein, what about individual songs from movies e.g. Star Wars theme, or classical compositions e.g. Rhapsody In Blue or Debussy's Clair de Lune (Yep, that song from Seven Years In Tibet)? And if classical songs are allowed, do we credit the songs to the original composer? And lastly, does The Eraser count as separate from Radiohead? What if people wanted to include Prince albums / albums from artistes with alter egos/frequent name changes?
