"In My Place" rip off

Featured Replies

my sister came home from work yesterday and told me that there was a song played at work that reminded her A LOT of "In My Place".

she meant the "In My Place" riff.

however,... it was song bloke singing it...

this is so abstract now..., but does anybody know that song?

probably not...

haha

That stinks...do you have a clip of the song?

no, i haven't even heard it and i neither know the artist's name nor the song title :\

hmm rip off .

I think if you would here every song on the xworld every band would have a ripped song.

Its no secret that lot of bands steal . even coldplay.

i didn't say it's a bad thing.

i was just curious if anybody here knows that song!

No offense, but there's not much info for anyone to go from.

i just thought that somebody else already knows this song.... :dozey:

There's a rumour going round that it's Gareth Gates!!:stunned:

^^Um No mark there is not!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:dozey:

This reminds me sort of of the Ashlee Simpson Coldplay rip-off.

A few months ago, I heard a Nappies rip-off. How pathetic to rip off a band's joke.

They should invent their own sounds

What? I need to hear that :laugh3: . is it really stupid?

I haven't heard the In My Place ripoff but I'm pretty sure it exists. Coldplay makes awesome tunes- who wouldn't want to rip them off?

what was the nappies rip off ??? those bastards

Hahaha

LOL! that is hilarious!

i don't wanna hear it - but i must!:stunned:

i don't know what people are thinking ripping off coldplay tracks, maybe they're not...:\

There's an Ashlee Simpson Coldplay rip-off?

I didn't know!

What is it?

gosh, not square one - that has coldplay written all over it. i've never heard it but already i cringe :\

Just out of curiosity...what is the Ashlee Simpson song called? :shy:

Hmm it's either something with tears in it or My Eyes Open? Something like that

Eyes Wide Open?

HOLY SHIT IT IS A SQUARE ONE RIP!!! :stunned:

God I just heard it and the guitar sounds SO similar..CRAP!

After the tsunami catastrophe in Asia a lot of musicians in Germany (for example Kai Wingenfelder (Fury In The Slaughterhouse)) came together to create a charity CD. One song of it is called "No Place Like Home". I bought this song on iTunes after listening to it on the radio and seeing the name of the project once on the shirt of Werder Bremen. I like it and IMO it sounds similar to "In My Place". Maybe it was exactly this song you mean.

You can listen to it here...

Well the story behind the nappies ripoff is that I was in a store and I heard it. I thought , Wow, how weird, they're playing the nappies in a store. Then I listened to the lyrics and they were different, but the song sounded so similar to the nappies!

maybe you shouldn't overreact because of that Ashlee Simpson song because Coldplay didn't write that riff as well... (take a look at the credits in the X&Y booklet)

Lars, i think i need to get a longer version and ask my sister ... :nice:
