i would definitely try my hardest!

a lot of the SXSW gigs are hard to get into for the general public, but i would figure out where they were playing and i would see if i could get into it!

They haven't been to where I live. I'd had to drive for hours or fly to see them. I don't think that will change anytime soon. But if they're playing a festival then it's well worth it. I'd get to see Mew and several other bands all in one day, which would be pretty sweet. I'm doing my best to make it to pitchfork, though. :) I hope they headline in NA really soon. :D I think if they played sxsw again the crowds woudl be bigger. It was almost insulting to see what few people actually saw them last time around.
