I've been to the Kings of Leon concert last night and took three pics of Mew performing...

I wasn't really impressed but maybe it was the sound... a lot of reverberation.

And as for not being impressed, they've only performed these songs for a live crowd like 2 or 3 times? Give it a couple weeks, I think the live reviews will get much better. Thanks for the pics!!!! :D

Yes, I think the awful sound can be blamed for that.

Sorry, the sound was bad...it must be so fustrating for Mew to switch between support act and main act all the time...plus as Olivia said the first gig back was only like, Wed nght..I'm sure they're still ironing out the kinks..anyway, how were the Kings..?

:) haha, it's alright, I tweeted last night that I was poorly prepared for the gig and didn't even look up who was supporting... people next to me didn't know either!!

But when they said "We are Mew" it rang a bell! :)

 

I must confess I didn't check this thread before but it kept popping up in the "new posts" results and that obviously left a memory trace :lol:

I like your sig btw. It makes me laugh. And as for the EP my friend and I like the singles. The b-sides are b-sides. They're not supposed to be as good as the singles or album tracks. And it doesn't flow in the order it's in but wait for the album Frengers. :thumbsup:

Ooops..no no no I meant Wed was the first gig back - they've been off working on the new lp for the past few years...and although they've been rehearsing they're bound to be a little rusty...and are breaking- in a new setlist like Olivia said...

ok, I cracked, did a quick search, found it and d/loaded...and omfg!! I love love love Swimmer's Chant (it's amazingly beautiful)... the other two are nice..Start is pretty but way too short...Owl is kinda Apparatjik-ey (not easy to say out loud :D)

 

Anyway, gonna listen to all the tracks in their proper order A LOT over the w/end then delete them and buy the d/load legally on Monday :D
