July 16, 200916 yr Sorry if this is a bit late, but I wish you luck Paula :) Nice photos simophor! Thanks for those. And I really wanna listen to New Terrain backwards. Supposedly backwards it sounds like 'Nervous,' so it's like two songs in one.
July 17, 200916 yr Roll on 9th November :D Kite is a Frenger?! :wideeyed: :cry2: Yay. And he's seeing Mew this year!
July 17, 200916 yr can't stop listening to mew :D DON'T stop listening to MEW!!!!! :whip: And also, on Mewsite the spoiler thread has been taken down about the new album. Someone who attended Latitude asked about the leak and the lyrics to IPP. Apparently they do not mind that it leaked, though gave the person a kind of dirty look for admitting they downloaded it. Well not "they", just Bo. :P And the lyrics for the chorus of IPP have been posted there. HEre's what it is according to Mew themselves: "Just a field with you, Switching seeds with you, Tears us apart, I don't want it to. Some peculiar fix, The two of us, Can't ?????? , I don't want it to." The ????? is because they forgot that bit Jonas said. And "Silas the Magic Car" is about the band and their disagreements and so on. IPP is also about the band.... And while Damon fo the Swirlies played bass on IPP, Bo and Bastian played on the rest of the album. Which is quite impressive to hear because last time I heard Bo was not very good on bass. Nice to know he's improved enough to play for their record.
July 17, 200916 yr I will not stop listening to Mew, but I've only heard 4 or5 songs so far, my favourite being the zookeepers daughter or something.
July 17, 200916 yr  The Zookeeper's Boy. :) And if you need some more songs I could recommend some more. Just tell me what you're already heard by now. :)
July 17, 200916 yr  you're lucky I even remembered "the zookeepers" :P Apocolypso, She Came Home For Christmas, the Zookeepers BOY, Special............. That might be it.
July 17, 200916 yr tee-hee-hee  Here are some more cool tunes to look up on youtube: Like Paper Cuts (It's on none of their albums. It is a b-side) That Time On The Ledge (Also another b-side and the videos for it are homemade by the band while recording it.) From And the Glass Handed Kites (2005): Why Are You Looking Grave? (It is track number three.) The Zookeeper's Boy (This is track number seven, it comes right after 'Special') Fox Cub (It follows 'Grave' on the album as track number four and comes right before 'Apocalypso' which is right before 'Special') The album 'Kites' is really cool because each song flows into the next almost seemlessly. You don't get the full effect of how awesome these songs just are by watching the videos on youtube, where they've been edited to be radio friendly lengths. So hopefully you get your hands on an album soon. :) From Frengers (2003) you've already heard 'She Came Home For Christmas' other songs from that album include: Am I Wry? No. 156 Symmetry (which features vocals from a 12 year old girl) and Comforting Sounds (which on the album is an 8+ minute track. But the video version is only a few minutes.) What's really interesting about this album is that it's mostly comprised of songs from the bands first two albums that were only released for a limited time in Denmark. These songs have been re-recorded and sound much different from their original forms. Symmetry for example was originalliy recorded in the year 2000, the American girl who sang on the track was only 12 at the time. Now she is in her 20s and married. 156 has a really old demo version and was also on their 2000 release entitled 'Half The World Is Watching Me'. The band late released this album due to demand, and it also featured unreleased tracks including a song called 'Half The World Is Watching Me' so if you see that track, it wasn't originally on that album. Original songs on Frengers include 'SheSpider', 'Behind The Drapes' and 'Eight Flew Over, One Was Destroyed' which inspired the bands current logo of a dead angel which was 'The one that was destroyed.' Angel: It kinda looks like a bunny with chicken legs. :P Okay, I am done for now. Bye. :)
July 17, 200916 yr Are the songs i checked out on itunes? I'll see if I can find the other ones and listen to them  what is your favourite song?
July 18, 200916 yr I edited the post above. So there is more information. I don't know if they are on iTunes, but I will check. MY favorite songs include: From their new album out in August they have these singles: Introducing Palace Players Repeaterbeater From frengers: 156  my ultimate favorite track of their's. :P Am I Wry? No. SheSpider Comforting Sounds  This song is an amazing, powerful tear-jerking song when performed live. It's the song they play last. From kites: Special The Zookeeper's Boy White Lips Kissed An Envoy To The Open Fields Small Ambulance Fox Cub Chinaberry Tree (This is really lovely. A chinaberry tree bears beautiful fruit that is poisonous and deadly when consumed.) Circuitry of the Wolf (It totally rocks. :P) From half: 156 (Original, any version of it is good, really.) Mica (Original. I dislike the rerecording of it.) King Christian (Original. I also like the re-recording of it. It's a song about one of the ancient Kings of Denmark. Kind of a cool history lesson.) Symmetry (Original which I prefer over the Frengers version.) From A Triumph for Man (1997) their first album. Also rereleased due to demand.: Wheels Over Me Beautiful Balloon Panda Wherever Then I Run Pink Monster Coffee Break
