October 2, 200619 yr Ok I was walking home with my friend the other day and my friend's friend came up and started talking to us. He said that went to London and was on the London Bridge ok. So he say he was taking a pic and hit the ralling and fell in the river. Than he say he was laugh his head off and so was everyone else around him???????????? Now my question is: Is the ralling on the London Bridge really that low? The kid is not that tall. I have been to London and Under the Bridge and if he did some how fall off, you would think he would have broken something. What do you think? That isn't London Bridge That's Tower Bridge. London Bridge sure is ugly though!

October 2, 200619 yr anyone else wanna say that?? ok, i will.... that isnt london bridge this is:
October 2, 200619 yr yes someone did buy old London bridge because they thought they were buying Tower Bridge ... LOL And the Song ' London Bridge is falling Down' Is actually about the time when the Vikings pulled down the original London Bridge Centuries ago, When they invaded London and hooked up some ropes too the old London bridge and sailed down the thames pulling down the bridge Damn Vikings ... If you ever visit Tower Bridge dont just walk across the road surface there is in fact a walk way that goes over the top Its so that if the bridge is raised for ships to pass under People can still walk across the bridge. thats why you can see that part across the top joining the 2 towers.. its a walk way and a great view too :) I think there has been atleast 4 Bridges called ' London Bridge' over the years. Also there did use to be Houses and shops on one of the old london bridges but during the great fire of London 1666, the flames crossed the river buy burning the houses on the bridge. and the flames crossed from the south bank over too the North side of London. After that no buildings were alowed to be built on any of the bridges.
October 2, 200619 yr There are only 4 bridges in the world with shops on them. One of which is Pulteney Bridge in Bath :smug: And Are you telling me that wikipedia is wrong with that picture of london bridge?
October 2, 200619 yr Buildings on Bridges were common long ago But after the fire of London its was no longer allowed in London. Because it helped to spread the fire from one side of the river too the other side.

October 3, 200619 yr Well theres only 2 cities in london - the City and Westminster. The rest of it really is just a mass of towns that have sprawled over the area and merged to form 1 big city. fanta was developed in Nazi Germany The Thames used to be a lot wider and shallower - then the victorians built the embankment and narrowed it. San Marino is the worlds oldest Republic San Marino scored the fastest goal ever in world cup history 8 seconds against England San Marino have only ever won game - against mighty Lichtenstein San Marino won the European club Baseball championship last year
October 3, 200619 yr i recall the fanta fact. to be honest, i never knew of san marino until recently, i didn't even know it's existence nevermind it's location, but that goes for a lot of places... the 'oldest republic' fact reminded me of india having the oldest democracy... all i can say for san marino is congrats on the world cup record, that is really impressive and a fact i certainly did not know.
October 3, 200619 yr San Marino is a great country - We should all go there! Its a really nice country.

October 3, 200619 yr i would think that he might've hurt something, though i can't say that i've ever been to london ENGLAND, so i wouldn't know for sure, but it doesn't seem like he could have everyone around because it would've taken a while to actually go down to him and laugh at him if he was hurt..right?
