a bit disgusting, but hilarious...ar least i'm not a Jet fan, so i could laugh

I got their first album, it was basically just a bunch of stolen AC/DC riffs. Not bothered with this new one.

I heard a new song on Triple J and I loved it! Can't wait til it comes out.

it got reviewed, so i guess, it's out...today maybe?

I disagree, at first I hated Sam`s Town, but I`ve had it on in the car today driving to work, and something just clicked, now I love it, awesome album, and in my opinion, superior to Shine On, oh, and I can`t stand Beck, so no contest there either.

 

It certainly isn`t the best album of the year, but an excellent album all the same.

 

Anyway, back on topic :)

I hate pitchfork sometimes. I like the new Jet cd. Its a little different though. IMO it has a lot more ballads, and you can tell on some of the songs that touring with oasis REALLY rubbed off on them.

Uh... I really like Shine On.

 

It's a thousand times better than Sam's Town. Which... by the way, is diabolical.

i think i will try to make a poll of "the most pathetic Pitchfork" reviews...

 

i mean, i really like Pitchfork, kinda the onliest reviews magazine that i read, but they really can be idiots sometimes...

In my opinion, Jet's album is much better than Sam's Town(this is hard for me to say since I am a Killers fan:cry:) because its shows the band's growth. It seems to me that The Killers while overproduced some songs, others were just left aside.

Jet's album on the other hand exceeds my expectations(seeing that I didnt like their first album that much in the first place:lol:). I was half way thinking it was going to be just "another guitar-drunken" album, but I found something much different.

Jets problem is that they don't turn their influences into something new, they pretty much just completely rip it off. Not good.
