The Werder Bremen Thread

Featured Replies

very excited about this season, and champions league campaign.....we have a HUGE amount of starters, including Frings and Borowski, who are still out....and some of them will be returning within the next couple of weeks...i think if we can play like that WITHOUT our internationals, how awesome will we play WITH them!?

Also, i think ALOT of people are underestimating our abilities in the Champions league because of Klose's departure.....BUT i think it will help us, Klose did NOTHING last year for our Champions League campaign....in fact he ended up HURTING us in the UEFA cup...now that teams will underestimate us, i think we have a very good shot at going through either equal with REAL or a close second.

So true, we still have a lot of players who are injured like Frings, Borowski and... don't forget... Carlos Alberto. What will happen if these players are able to play again?! :D

Great that there's also Bundesliga in the week (with better kick-off times than the late ones at Champions League!!), so tomorrow Werder has to play in Wolfsburg.

Have you seen Diego's amazing performance against Stuttgart? Who the f... is Ronaldinho?!

Yeah, I'm so happy for him! He got so many problems to find a new kidney and to come back into the first squad. Perhaps he's able to play a bit tomorrow! That would be fantastic! :)

I'm going to watch the game tomorrow with my work-mates combinated with doing a barbecue and stuff like that. Should be fun, although the match last Tuesday was boring!

Should I make this the official German football thread?

8-1...

...puts Pompey's 7-4 victory over Reading in the shade

One picture says more than thousand words...

I will never forget this game I guess! Absolutely brilliant performance and one goal was better than the others, although 12 players are injured now. Niemeyer's shot... Diego's free-kick... sensational! Bremen scored one more goal, but unfortunately the referee was too blind to see the ball was well over the line. Instead Bielefeld's goal has been offside!

Anyway, glad to see that Fritz is back, but unfortunately goalkeeper Wiese is injured now... Hope it's not a rupture of the cruciate ligament again. :(

You must have seen the confused faces of Bayern's Rummenigge and Hoeneß in the Premiere Bundesliga studio after they've shown all goals again! A sight for the gods!

Boro, Fritz, and Klasnic all returned to team training....so that is fantastic news...

I hope Wiese's injury isnt serious, because i have absolutely no faith in Reinke after that performance in the UEFA cup last year.

Boro is injured again, also Sanogo and Wiese, while Frings will probably play on Wednesday against Piräus. As far as I know Reinke doesn't play for Werder anymore. :)

Here are the highlights of yesterday's match!

Hertha BSC Berlin - Werder Bremen 1:1 half-time

Rosenberg scored in the first minute.

Well I'm totally shocked what's going on in Frankfurt at the moment! Never thought this might happen in the first Bundesliga again. The game has been interrupted for 20 minutes now after supporters of Nürnberg have thrown fireworks and attacked police men. It's a shame! The stadium announcer just said that one more firework will stop the whole game!

Anyone watching Nürnberg-Wolfsburg right now?!

You can't call it football... it's waterball! :D Crazy weather!!! Game is interrupted after the first half for more than 45 minutes now and it's still unclear whether it will be continued. Never seen something like that before! :)

Edit: Game has been canceled now!

LEBENSLANG GRUN UND WEISS

Here is the summary...

http://www.myvideo.de/watch/5174834/5_4_Werder_Bremen_vs_Hoffenheim

By the way, Hoffenheim is a city with only 5000 inhabitants. 2 years ago they have played in the 3. league and now they are one of the best teams in the 1. Bundesliga so far. The key to success? Well they have an investor who's the co-founder of SAP. That's why everyone hates this club, although it's a new comer. We don't want similar circumstances here like in the English Premier League. :\
