It has some electronic-ish tune that made the whole record sounds a bit more modern compared to the old Beirut's works.

Actually Beirut had loads of electronic tunes before Gulag and others.

Small Time American Bats EP and his The Joy of Losing Weight stuff and other random singles so it's not entirely new to him.

But the non-modernness was part of what made beirut so special :disappointed:
