The way they disrespected Sir Bobby to bring in Graeme fucking Souness brought a lot of bad karma on the club.

In the U.K. it runs:

Premiership

Championship

League 1

League 2

Conference National (will be known as Blue Square Premier from next year)(non-league)

When it splits into Conference North & Conference South

Which splits down further

See this article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/English_football_league_system

At FM i tried to manage York town....and it was in conference national;)...

The 2nd team to fall though the trap door and into the fizzy pop league is Charlton.

-------------

Dave's run-down of final week's game regarding uefa cup and the 3rd drop-zone place.

Uefa Cup

Everton are as good as safe

Spurs have a game in hand and are currently in 6th, against Blackpudding & Man City, I doubt that they will drop points in either game, so they are as good as safe.

Which leaves a 3-way tie for 7th. Bolton, Reading & Pompey.

Bolton needs to win or draw against Villa at home to make sure of that place, a win will win the race. A draw will be enough assuming both Reading & Pompey fail to win against Blackburn & Arsenal.

Reading

They need to win and hope that Bolton drop points against Villa to get into Europe, however Steve C says he doesn't want europe so he might 'throw' the game. However if they draw, Bolton lose & pompey don't win, they are into Europe via goal difference.

Pompey

Currently in 9th place, and 2 points adrift of 7th. They need a victory and hope that both Bolton & Reading drop points. With a better goal difference than Bolton, they will get into Europe via goal difference.

Therefore the race for the uefa cup is in Bolton's hands, if Sammy Lee gets his bunch of misfits together for a victory all is over :(

The dog-fight for the drop

It's a 3 way fight between Wigan (35, -23), Sheffield United (38, -22) & West Ham (35, -25). Wigan needs to beat Sheffield United, as it stands, West Ham will be down on goal-difference.

If Sheffield United beat Wigan or get a draw, Wigan are down and the pies will be flying as they ain't forgot that "penalty" which lost them 2 points at Arsenal. If Wigan beat Sheffield United & Man United beat West Ham, than it's goodbye Mr. Hammy.

Wigan to go down, but only by virtue of a West Ham 0-0 draw at Man Utd. Wigan will beat Sheff Utd 1-0 but it will all be in vain. Tevez to announce his undying love for all things Scandanavian.

POMPEY FOR EUROPE!

PLAY UP POMPEY. POMPEY PLAY UP!

One of my favourite football memories was a game against Stockport at Fratton Park years ago when Pompey were struggling in Division 1 and their goalkeeper was that Lama guy, and he had a white streak in his hair, and every single Pompey fan was shouting "you got bird shit, on your head, you got bird shit, on your head!" on loop for 10 minutes every time he touched the ball.

It's weird that as a Geordie all my life, because of ticket prices up here, and how cheap Division 1 football was a few years ago, I've been to nearly as many Pompey games as I have Newcastle games. And I've enjoyed the Pompey ones so much more.

Chelsea v Man Utd

Stamford Bridge

Wednesday, 9 May

Kick-off: 2000 BST

Chelsea will again be without Didier Drogba and Arjen Robben, both having missed Sunday's draw at Arsenal.

Boss Jose Mourinho has added young strikers Scott Sinclair and Ben Sahar to the squad to face the champions.

Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs are among several players who will be rested as Manchester United keep one eye on the FA Cup final.

With the Premiership title sealed, Sir Alex Ferguson is expected to make several changes.

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson says his side's attacking ability was decisive in beating Chelsea to the Premiership crown.

United have scored 83 goals compared to 63 from the Blues.

"Where I think they excelled over Chelsea was the squad made goals," Ferguson told MUTV.

"We may not be as disciplined defensively - as they are really good at that - but in normal terms we score goals which is a great asset to have."

United visit Chelsea on Wednesday with the title already wrapped up but Ferguson praised the resilience of the Stamford Bridge side in keeping the Premiership race going as long as it has done.

He also said his Old Trafford outfit had benefited from fortune smiling on them during the campaign, especially in the wins over Fulham, Liverpool and Everton.

"They proved they don't want to lose," said the Scot. "I think if you have got a team that don't want to lose it is a great start.

"If you ally that to ability then you have got a chance."

But he added: "There is no point in thinking every game is a bed of roses for us.

"There were moments where we carried luck; Fulham, Liverpool and the Everton game, when the goalkeeper dropped the ball and from that moment on there was only one winner.

"We have carried luck but every team that wins the championship has that."

Ferguson also had a few words of comfort for Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho's handling of Chelsea's surrender of their Premiership crown.

"Jose understands winning and losing are twins in a way," he said.

"You have to deal with them in the same way. When you win, you don't gloat and when you lose you don't go bananas.

"He was very complimentary after their draw at Arsenal and I'll bring him a decent bottle of wine to make sure his tastes are looked after."

Ferguson has now won the top-flight title nine times with United and rated the latest as his toughest and above his other titles for the way it was achieved.

He said: "There's a lot of satisfaction in the way we have won it, Chelsea were the most resilient opponents we have ever come across.

"I thought the signings of Michael Ballack and Andriy Shevchenko were designed to win them the European Cup and I just kept hoping that was what they were concentrating on.

"I knew we had to reach 90 points, which is a hell of a total.

"We tried to instil into the players' minds that we needed to get off to a good start and stay with Chelsea. It was something nobody else had done in the previous two years.

"Not only did we do that, we got in front and stayed there, which was a fantastic achievement because this is a relatively new team, which will hopefully get better."

Blues midfielder Joe Cole has also congratulated Manchester United and revealed that there are plans to make sure the visitors are shown respect on Wednesday.

He said: "They clapped us out when we won the league, and that took a lot of dignity. I am sure we will repay the favour.

"There is a good rivalry between the two clubs. We have a lot of respect for them. They won the league and fair play to them."

Sheffield United will be down on goal-difference.

Currently it is:

Sheffield United @ -22

Wigan @ -23

A 1-0 victory for Wigan, will mean those goal differences will be reversed.

I think Wigan down. West Ham may win as Sir Alex may rest key players for the FA Cup and SU look the better team between SU and Wigan match up.

That game yesterday was probably the most boring game I've seen this season! Very disappointing! After 30 minutes I switched the channel...

It was a game which had nothing riding on it, so both teams rested top players to get them ready for the final weekend

West Ham beat Man Utd 1-0 with a Tevez goal.

Wigan beat Sheffield United 2-1 to send SU down.

Sheffield were supposed to be safe weeks ago when they were 10up on the rest. Shocking really. I wanted Wigan down.
