This show was one of the first for teenagers, One Tree Hill, Everwood or the OC wouldn't exist if it weren't for it.

I know it's been over for 4 years but I've been watching re-runs and they're too good to miss.

I don't actually like James Van der Beek or Katie Holmes, Joshua Jackson was IMO the star of the show and Pacey & Joey (:heart:) was the best couple ever

i remember watching the very first episode. after that it's kinda a blur. but your right, pacey was more the focus. dawson wasn't really in charge of the first couple of episodes. this all reminds me of other shows like melrose place and beverly hills 90210...

I used to be a huge fan of the show but stopped watching years ago.. Pacey was never the focus, it was definitely Joey! Slowly the main character changed from Dawson to Joey - even when Dawsons' dad died, the focus stayed on Joey and how sad SHE was that Dawson was sad :P

 

It was a nice teenage drama, but sometimes when I watch a re-run, I think "Gosh - did I really take that serious?". The season of Joey & Pacey together was the best, because before they were all just too young and naive, and later the writing only got worse and the show wasn't the same..

 

Though Joey was the main character, I gotta agree that Pacey was the best of all - he was the only one whose character truly developed, who showed many facettes of his personality, and who was always lovable :)

woooo! DC is the best teen drama in my opinion. Well maybe that's because I grew up with it.

 

But I will straight up say I am PRO Dawson and Joey. PRO Pacey and Andy. And I wished Jack would have been with Jen. haha.

The college eps were crap. The last ep was soo good. But I believe that even though Joey chose Pacey in the series finale, that in the end before they die and are old, Joey will still end up with Dawson because THEY ARE SOULMATES. lol.

I still watch re-runs and think it's all a bit ridiculous, I mean, there's not a single teenager who talks that much that fast, but I still love it.

Pacey was the one who got Joey out of the bubble she was in just messing around with Dawson, she actually experienced love (and passion) for the first time.

Dawson and Joey were never a couple, they just kissed and talked...and kissed and talked....and kissed and talked...and watched old movies.

I agree they are soulmates, but that's about it - they're soulmates, best friends, friends for life, but they were never LOVERS! It was that teenage love, the willing to experiment things and hold hands and all that stuff, but they were never really passionate or madly in love!

I saw one of the coolest episodes this morning,the one with the same day happening over and over when Dawson finds out about Joey and Pacey and they kindof end everything between them.

It was a great show, with excellent camerawork and a cracking soundtrack every week.

You could tell Katie Holmes was destined for big things, but I don't think anyone could have guessed she would end up marrying Scientologist Tom!!:rolleyes:

Oh they were never the focus I guess, but I found it kinda cool that they also included the kids' parents - with Gail getting another baby, then Mitch dying. It was a nice story besides the teenage dramas!

With me, too ^^ Though he looked much better with short hair - right after he went to college, that was good! But all his other haircuts - naaah!

Dawson's hair was always EW, that's what happens when you're a guy of twentysomething going bald playing a teenager
