i think we act seriously all the time and one day of spontaneous posts isnt that harmfull.

ok but just imagine.......it could be possible that I (it's just an example...) find the board a bit annoying when it's normal.....and love it when it's alias day...so that would mean 1 alias day against 364 other days....

yeah its more the fact sometimes you come on here to talk about serious things, and then it gets butchered by a cuban gangster and an 80 year old pervert....

 

like just maybe next time, set some borders, make a separate alias section of the board, i don't think it was really fair to just go and trash good threads with rubbish posts when there were like 20 of you who were in and found it fun, while you took utter disregard for what other people do on the site. thats not not cricket.

and i still don't think it was fair. and i'm not alone on that.

 

and normally i'm one for jokes but sometimes there needs to be some form of regulation and alias day had none of that.

but I think other threads were no blocked....so you could have talked to people who were annoyed as well in other threads (ok it was not sure if the aliases wouldn't have entered these threads....:P)....

i'm all up for aliases but next time devote an alias section of the forums. it got out of hand

take me as an example i dont come here very much but the Alias day attracted me and here i am now posting and liking the board so it has more than one advantage.:D

i've always had this site as a place to come and relax with evrything else that has been crappy since i've joined, i dunno for me, i like that aspect of it. maybe i'm being self centred.... but thats just how i feel. i mean if i wanted to joke around i'd do it, but still offer others and where i am courtesy if you get what i mean

there were 2 advertisements that there's an alias day. who WANTED to know there's a day like this, knew that. who wanted to sign up - signed up even after the "deadline".

Ah come on... Wasn't it quite harmless?.. I didn't even call anyone gay like, once! I mean, it could be much much more offensive for some people but it wasn't. And really, if you wanted to join why didn't you?..

They mainly created new threads. Ok, it was spamming, but it was for only one day. And they didn't spam anywhere but in the lounge (which was already quite full of spam). Maybe it should've been announced earlier, but I think everything could've been much worse.

why create another section? lounge was perfect for it.
