U2's 'Window in the Skies' video

Featured Replies

Am I the only one who has seen both versions of the video? I notice that that play the black and white sweeping shots version on VH1 and the other version with various famous people's shots on MTV.... what do you think they did that.....? and furthermore.... which version do you like better if you've seen them both...

discuss.. :)

I hardly ever watch videos, because I feel they detract from the music (or in some cases disguise poor music);)

i've only seen the one with music legends. tbh the video is very impressive, the best thing U2've done for a while

the song is still very bad, though

EDIT:

watching the 2nd version on youtube right now...

Which is probably why the video needed to be good, then.;)

each to his own

i didn't really like the 2nd video btw :\

I like the second video more...don't know why or probably because of the memories of how they were, the references to some of their songs, and the bits of Dublin

btw..don't like this song much too

I actually like the song, and the video is quite good, I have to watch the black and white one now...

i love the video with all the music legends... so clever and I think it's the best video out there today. I love the song too, it doesn't really sound like a U2 song.

I think I like the legends version better, alot easier on my eyes. Plus its more entertaining.

I think I would like the U2 footage version better if it spanned some of their 90s stuff since that is my favourite era.

I like both videos.... but the b/w one I think is a bit more impactful for those maybe 29 yrs. old and up??? I think this is why they play it on VH1- its more my generation that watches VH1, so I think its been purposely aired on that network as to where the legends one..... playing on MTV is aimed at the teens thru 20-somethings.... everyone walks away with a different interpetation based on those videos and remeniscing back to that era... meh.. t hats my opinion anyhoo..

I'm babbling... ok I'll stop. :embarassed:
