:laugh3: I've seen that one before- it's great.

Reminds me of Canadian comedian Rick Mercer's old segment "Talking to Americans"

Yeah, I know it's pretty old but....fuck, it's funny and I aint seen it in a while. The pin in 'Iran' on the map and the subsequent geographical blunders are amazing.

Also, the running black guy who says "Who's throwing the rocks?" when addressing Israel and Palestine......classic.

and, well....all of it is disturbingly hilarious.

Although, the guy who says "Al-Qaeda is a wing of the Masonic Order" might actually be showing a very shrewd observation.

*sigh* It always cracks me up that I seem to know more about AMERICAN history and geography than my mother (who is an American).

The excruciating thing about it is that she says the reason that she doesn't know much about world history is that they only ever taught her American history in school. :wreck: And for the record, my mom is quite smart when it comes to many other things.

hahahahahahaha i love this video. thats an aussie show, CNNN,

the same guys have a new series currently showing, chaser's war on everything... check it out if you can ;)

Stop being ignorant. Like I said, in another post before, you could go to any country, and people would be just as stupid.

-Star wars is based on a true story ... true or false?

-true

:laugh3:

ohh ok.. chilean tv did something like that in USA too.. but as I said before in another thread.. there's stupid and smart people everywhere

The first American to make a comment and you didn't even read the first post properly. where I said....

"I'm only laughing at the individuals in the clip...this ain't a anti US post......."

And because "it is funny".

But if your going to be like that...then...I'll point out why it's also worrying...

If almost anyone answers some of those questions that badly in then it's a travesty but in a rich (well, not really) country like the United States of America I think it really highlights what many studies have shown; that large amounts people in the western world (and in great numbers across various part of the US) know far less about the greater world and what indeed is really going on around them.

I think it's actually an important issue.

But this was meant to be a fun thread so....

Here :gorgeous: - She's looking at you kid...

It was a few years ago so the details are fuzzy, but I remember a camera crew came to Halifax from I think it was Arkansas to pull that kind of a stunt.

It didn't work so well. Everyone just kept asking them if they were trying to get back at us for Rick Mercer.

I did read it, you asshole. It's still rather insulting that somebody would post shit like this, whether or not, "what you said."

And yeah, so. Believe me, I'm sure there's many smart people here. Of which you wouldn't know about, since you haven't met every one of us. So until you do, you can't say anything really.

I'm sure they got more educated answers than stupid answers. People only want to see the fools.

I did a lot of face palming. I'm half the age of some of those people and knew more answers to those questions.

please, no personal attacks

LMAO!!! That is insanely hilarious and completely sad. What the hell does it take for people to get an education or read up on current events or KNOW GEOGRAPHY. LOL. Some of the questions were so obvious, KFC, Buddhist monks? Wow, some people are really dense.

Although some of the comments were really hateful and ignorant. Diaper head? That struck me as pitiful. This is why people who have no idea what is going on should shut the fuck up and keep their mouth closed. I agree if you go anywhere you will find "stupid" people, but these are current events that affect our lives and are tearing apart the world, by being ignorant to all the issues, you are only adding to the problem.

lol. You have issues.

He wasn't talking about "every one of (you)" he was talking about "the individuals in the clip.

I've seen that clip before. That's halarious! I don't mind laughing at other people's stupidity. And Americans... we be a little...hmmm....spacey? Even though I'm American myself, I can find Americans can be that way.

It reminds me of 'Jaywalking' from The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

shes a mod and a woman, stop acting like you are and she wouldn't have to ask you in the first place. and save the sexual crap for somewhere else, not cool here...

Hahah! It amazes me the incredibly ignorant people there are in the world - and I don't care which country they're from. Every village needs an idiot right...My, I haven't been on this board in a while!

Tony Blair an actor - he got that bit right!

a very bad actor. Shakespeare wrote some good plays about him and his cronies. Hmmm what were they? Oh yes.... FARCES!

Oh and the clip. Not funny, just very sad. Education is a privilege wasted on the ignorant.

Plato got it right... "In Plato's Republic, Plato points out that any free society will fall apart unless the members of society are educated"

I'm not anti-american... just anti-ignorant. And much of the American power is in the hands of the ignorant.

S

I think there's probably a number of British people who would come to the exact same conclusions. It's a sad reality though.

That guy who posted all the insults went way over the top though. It was said more than once in the first post that it wasn't meant to be insulting to anyone.
