Her voice is amazing. On her album "to venus and back"' date=' on the live disc, there's a song called "cooling", and every time I hear it, it just gives me chills. :D[/quote']

Ah, I love that song too...

on the first disc, "concertina" is one of my absolute fave songs of hers. :)

11 more days 'til I see her live...I'm getting anxious.

TORI AMOS READIES NEW ALBUM THE BEEKEEPER AND PUBLISHES FIRST BOOK TORI AMOS: PIECE BY PIECE. BOTH COMING IN FEBRUARY!

This February Tori Amos will unveil two exciting projects- a new CD entitled The Beekeeper (in stores February 22) and her first book Tori Amos: Piece by Piece, co-written with journalist Ann Powers.

Currently, Tori is putting the finishing touches on The Beekeeper, which she's recording and self-producing in her UK studio Martian Engineering. On songs like "Sweet the Sting," "Sleeps with Butterflies," and "Ribbons Undone," Tori incorporates vintage organs, Afro-Cuban drums and Gospel choirs, working once again with longtime partners, drummer Matt Chamberlain and bassist Jon Evans.

"The Beekeeper is musically inspired by the fact that the piano has realized that she has an organ - with my right hand on her organ and my left hand on her piano keys, I have been changed by the relationship between these two beautiful creatures, the Bosendorfer piano and the B3 Hammond organ."

In the book Tori Amos: Piece by Piece co-penned with writer Ann Powers, the usually private Tori gives a rare inside look into many intimacies of her life as both a private individual and a very public performing musician. The book, published by Broadway Books (a division of Random House), will be released on February 8th. On Thursday, February 24, Tori and Ann will make a special appearance at the 92nd Street Y in New York City.

great news! :D .....Scarlet´s walk was so amaizing!....I hope the beekeeper be better!...

I LOVE TORI.

h8taz r poopie

I love how people who don't like someone give AWESOME examples for their h8ternezz.

Psh.

Woohoo! I didn't even notice this thread. I've got... Little Earthquakes, Under the Pink and Scarlet's Walk. I think Little Earthquakes is my favorite, but I can't get enough of God and Cornflake Girl. The song Little Earthquakes is also one of my favorites. ^_^

What a great artist. I kinda find it hard to believe that I was alive before she was popular though, cause she's a legend. Makes me feel old...

a thread for tori amos? great, just great. i love her music, its so strange, yet so emotional. three cheers for tori!!

My favorurite was Unde the Pink. Loved Baker, Baker. Have not really loved any of her music since

This thread's been inactive for a year. Jesus haha.

American Doll Posse (10th album? i dunno i lost count) is due to be released on May 1st, 2007. It seems from interviews that she's gone back to the harpsichord as well as to her edgy style from her earlier albums. I have a lot of hope that this will be better than...everything from 1999 onward. heh

she has a fascinating voice.. I love her song..Especially;Love Song and Sleeps with Butterflies

I love Tori Amos. :) Tori Amos, Peter Gabriel, and David Bowie are probably my favorite solo artists of all time. There isn't an album of Tori's that I don't like. And she has a lot of great b-sides and unreleased stuff, too.

Has anybody here heard the demo songs she made in 1980, like Keep On Trying, Just Ellen, etc? They're pretty good, too; she had a lot of talent, even back then.

And Amsterdam, American Doll Posse is Tori's 9th studio album. 10th overall, if you include her Tales Of A Librarian greatest hits. :P

I wish I could see her. She never plays in my city. I have her albums Under The Pink, Am Doll Posse and Strange Little Girls.
