I forgot about Calvin and Hobbes! My older brother waayyy back used to love that comic strip. It was defintely his favorite. Seeing this thread brings back memories of when I was little and watching him reading and laughing at the comic. :lol:

I LOVE CALVIN AND HOBBES!!!! im sorry they dont make anymore :( :( :( :( :( :( :( its my fav comic, i have all the books somewhere. one of my fav strips is when calvin made a little stand out of a cardboard box and a sign that said "a swift kick in the rear, 25 cents", hobbes walks up and asks "how's business?", calvin: "lowsy!", hobbes sarcastically: "thats hard to believe", calvin: "i know i dont get it, everyone needs what im selling!" :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

god i LOVE calvin and hobbes. in addition to being hilarious, a lot of them were surprisingly thought-provoking.

I love Calvin & Hobbes! I always rushed to the Sunday paper to read the weekly comic. loved all the crazy snowmen Calvin made. :lol:

i think calvin and hobbes played a major part in the development of my sense of humor when i was growing up... i used to read that religiously. wait for my dad to get home with the paper, rip out the comics, read calvin, then trash the rest. (now i have all the books, so if i want i can read two years' worth of comics in a single day)

I like the one when calvin set up a stand to give people a truthful explanation of their looks for 25 cents

ive never heard of this comic..is it pretty populair?

it used to be really popular when it was in the newspaper comics but then they took it out....

 

people still really seem to enjoy the books though

yeah garfield's the one comic that everybody loves even though it's usually not particularly funny. it's been years since i've seen the cartoon show, though. i remember being almost excruciating to watch. :lol:
