A Blog From Will Champion - 23rd July 07 | Coldplay Record Vocals In Spain

Featured Replies

Published today on Coldplay's MySpace profile is new blog from Mr Will Champion (I'll find a thread to merge this message to later, but for the next few days you can discuss here)

Hello,

We've just got back from Spain where we've been recording some vocals. It was very hot and very beautiful. We returned to find England under water. Is it just me or does it feel like the world is ending? While we are all still here, there is great music to be listened to: Eugene Francis Jnr. Something to lighten up your day whilst contemplating life in a wet suit.

lucky spanish people...

thanks for the info

Thanks for posting the blog and thank you sweet Will for writing it!! So far he's the only one that's been keeping us up to date (which is fine with me 'cos he's my fave!!). Glad to hear the album is coming along and that they seemed to enjoy Spain -but I wonder why Spain and not their studio - does it have something to do with the terrible flooding that's unfortunately been going on in England? Hope things are getting better for those folks...

May be the house that Gwyneth was building in Talavera is finished and have a studio there.. :idea2:

Great news! So they spent some sunny days in Spain?! Lucky one! :D

No wonder for me that it's always Will who is keeping us up do date... :nice:

Don't worry - their studio wouldn't be flooded. Hampstead is on the top of a hill and not next to the Thames or any rivers.

He said they were doing vocals there, so maybe they have been doing the rest of the instrumental stuff in their studio. They were also spotted recently (not by me) outside Air Studios in Hampstead, so I guess they must be recording bits all over the place. Maybe Spain was just a nice change of scene - a little working holiday! :)

I think that they would be influenced by all the experiences of the Latin American tour they had.

I wonder if they are trying to learn more spanish:rolleyes:

I think they're going to learn more Spanish, Chris Knows something, but i think they're going to learn more with the time.

New star on Coldplay.com today -- y'all we're all right - Prospekt says they were really influenced by the time spent in Latin America, it will have an impact (albeit subtle) on the new album...apparently they recorded some vocals in churches - all four of them plus Brian Eno ---it all sounds so interesting -- i cannot wait to hear this new album!!!
