I'm not a vegetarian, I enjoy meat too much.

my mother's a vegetarian. she just eats quorn food and salad nowadays. she's been one for about 7 years and it's affected her health a bit coz she's anaemic and she fainted once.

i tried to be vegan for a couple of weeks.

went pretty good, but you really have to think about what you eat to keep it diversified.

quite difficult in my opinion, but it's not that hard to be vegetarian, i hope :)

No, I am not.

Though I am not a meat-lover, either.

No. mmmmmmm steak.

You have to be very careful about getting enough protein into your diet, but good luck.

I kinda am, I eat chicken sometimes.

I don't but my brother does since 2 years ago and he enjoys it until now......

i'm not interested in becoming a vegetarian.... i like to eat different meals and food...

but if i ever become a vegetarian i surely would keep eating fish (for proteins mainly).

Yeah, basically my brother only eat fish, prawns, crabs, etc except is not contains with meat.

I'm not a vegetarian' date=' I enjoy meat too much.[/quote'] yes.

I'm not but I could very easily be as I don't eat much meat, and I don't really like the taste of red meat.

Yes I am.

I dont eat any meat(that includes fish, any seafood, etc) I dont eat anything with a meat base either, IE.. baked beans, or anykind of broth.

I've been one since about 6th grade.

Its a bit diffucult at first, you have to get used to alot of vegetarian dishes, and replacing meat with things such as beans to get protein. I do enjoy the tofu meat.

I do however eat cheese and once and awhile eggs, I couldnt be vegan I like cheese to much:)

I'd have been stunned if you'd have been vegetarian. Texan meat is really excellent. I loved it.

Otherwise, I'm not, although I don't really eat meat.

But I sometimes eat meat based dishes.

I'm not a great fan of meat. Really.

I am vegetarian since 1996 (so that makes 11 years), and as luckycharms I don't eat any kind of meat or fish (they are both made of flesh after all) and meat derived food.

I never had any kind of problem and it was not difficult at all to become one as I've never eaten too much meat when I was younger.

As for the reason why I became vegetarian, I was having lunch and on the telly I've seen a pig being skinned when it was still alive and screaming...that's something still impressed in my mind..like the lamb's screaming in "The silence of the lambs"...I never touched anything dealing with meat again after that moment.

I'm not, but I don't really eat meat too much, I don't like red meat, only fried chicken and turkey sandwiches lol.

I'm a bad vegetarian, like Chris Martin :D

I really don't like meat all that much, but I would find it really difficult to give up roast chicken, smoked salmon and bacon.

On the other hand, I do make an extreme effort to buy local/organic meats. To have a clear conscious, I like to know where my meat came from and the conditions under which the animals were raised. So no, I'm not a vegetarian, but I'm a thoughtful meat eater. :)

I'm not but i could easily be. Just like some of you have said before: I don't really eat meat that much anyway. And i really do enjoy eating veggies and salads, yummee. And Beans too!

We've been taught quite a lot about what we should eat if we were vegetarians to stay healthy (and i think everyone should know what the stuff we eat contains) so i don't think it would be any kind of problem for me anyway..

Honestly, I don't think I could ever stop eating meat even though I don't eat meat most of the time but after a while I go back to meat. I do eat seafood a lot. If for whatever reason I wouldn't be able to eat seafood I think I would just die:stunned: that's how much I like it :D

Wow I had just come to the lounge to make a thread about vegetarians... I've actually wanted to become a vegetarian for about a year now and about a year ago I started eating waayyy less meat. Then about a month ago I got really involved it PETA, and I've learned so much more about why meat is so bad for the environment and why you can't be a meat-eating environmentalist. So i'm going vegetarian (or 'veg head' as my friends like to call it) and I haven't eaten meat since the 15th, saturday! It's going pretty well, I don't miss it at all. Actually I'm still eating fish, I might try getting myself off it though, and when I'm older and don't live with my parents anymore I think I'll become vegan o.O

....plus a lot of cool celebs are vegetarians (see avi)

See this is what I don't understand. People say yeah I'm a veg and then they usually go on about how bad it is to eat meat and how in general we as human shouldn't kill animals but then they go eat fish? Fish is an animal you know... Trying to eat healthy and being a vegetarian does not mean the same thing.

I know, I'm not a vegetarian yet. It's just hard to totally stop eating animals all at once. obviously fish are animals as well, they feel pain, they have emotions, they are intelligent, the way they are caught is terrible for the environment. That's why I'm going to stop eating them, and then I'll be able to call myself a vegetarian.

That's why I said "I'm going vegetarian" as in I'm starting to become one and "actually I'm still eating fish right now, but i'm going to stop."

Another thing, the world was created naturally for humans to eat other animals. That's how it's supposed to be, but in the screwed up world that we live in today, the animals are killed in terribly unfair ways, their living conditions are terrible, they're fed all kinds of junk, the factories in which this all happens emit so many gases that contribute to global warming, animals use more water than vegetables, etc etc. If our world was balanced and this all happened naturally like it was supposed to, maybe I wouldn't be trying to become a vegetarian. People wouldn't have to worry about it. I hope that the world can be like that someday, but for now, this is what I want to do to help, and it's healthier for me because I'm not taking in all the junk that animals are fed.
