It's different because there is no country name on the stamp, if you get a letter from any-other country, the stamp should have the name of the country printed on it.

Oh, for it to be summer now.. that's like a dream! Here it's a lovely -7C (20F) with an equally stunning overcast sky at sunset..:dozey:

The family tradition on New Year's Eve was to take out the old rifle ( an ancient 25-35, probably used by Anne Okley), fire one off into the night sky, and drink a little bubbly. I had to quite the first, since the bullet usually lands somewhere, and we have oodles of new homes (it used to be very rural). That could be a bad 'ting.;)

But the bubbly? I've got some cherry wine - au natural, so it should suffice!

It's just so neat to communicate with people from all over the globe - when one thinks of it, it's quite the technological leap into an amazing world. I really am awe-struck by what's possible, and grateful for all those who make it possible.:nice:

I just always assume that anywhere that isn't here is completely different. Australia is convieniently located 3/4 of a mile from the sun so we are a lot further out...:D

Chile has it's fair share of deserts (some are the driest spots in the world), but a wetter coast. I have always imagined it like a super-scrunched coastal mountain land, where it goes from pleasant to harsh in about...3/4 of a mile!:laugh3:
