Are you going to watch?

Featured Replies

For the first time ever sunday, an NFL game will be played in Europe. The New York Giants will play the Miami Dolphins in London. Does this mean anything to you in Europe? Are you going to watch?

Why would we be interested in watching that when we have proper sports like football and rugby??:dozey:

yep futbol>football

Where are you from??

futbol is spanish for football :uhoh:

* correctly written is fútbol.

That doesn't answer my question.;)

Ah well, never heard of those teams.. and i have pretty much no interest in american football to be honest.

I tried to watch it some time ago.. must've been superbowl btw, and i didn't quite get what was happening and why

Why are they taking over our national stadium? Moreover, why don't they contribute to the cost of it, after all it cost us bloody millions

The FA are charging the Americans quite a lot to play the game in Wembley. Also they are taking X% of all other income from the day.

And No, I won't be watching the game, as I have better things to do

its a very long time since I watched any American Football. if you'd said the Chicago Bears were coming over I might have been a little interested though

Is there something wrong with playing the game on the correct side of the pond?? I know we gave them David Beckham but they don't have to get shirty and give us that shit :veryangry:

If it helps to pay for the Bill for Wembley then it doesn't matter.

Although there is a Speedway at Wembley soon

the bears suck, its all about the giants....

the game is somewhat of an experiment. The NFL wants to increase its international popularity, which is a good idea, but its not going to work... Not only do you have no interest in the sport, but a lot of you don't understand the game. A couple years ago a game was played in Mexico City. During the warmups a kicker kicked a field goal and the crowd went nuts because it thought he had scored. The game hadn't even started yet

And what a stadium to host the first game outside America:

it was an ugly game, but the giants won:). For those who watched, what were your thoughts?

great, you've left us with a muddy pitch just in time for the crap weather and an important England international :dozey:

I saw some highlights of it. I'm a big NFL fan, and I like the Giants quite a bit as I have a few of their players in my fantasy pools.
