Well the reason they made it was to free up room for Scotty to return on D soon. But I do agree it was a bad trade.

 

 

And don't be hatin on Crosby, he is from my town afterall. (well the outskirts of Halifaxx).

I bet you watched the game on CBC... NBC didn't do anything but talk about Sidney Crosby and show him every 2 seconds. I felt like throwing up after he scored just because he was the one I wanted to see produce the least so the idiot commentators would have nothing to talk about.

 

All anger-at-NBC aside, I loved the game. The stadium is about 10 minutes from my house, so that made it all the more exciting to see it for such a high profile occasion. I didn't go obviously, mostly because tickets sold so friggin fast, but also because I enjoy watching glorious HD hockey in my warm house. The weather was perfect for the game too; it was snowing (it's always snowing in Buffalo, right? :P) and it just felt like this was the best image that could be reproduced across the country for the sake of the NHL.

 

I just don't want to be hearing about Sidney Crosby for the next 5 months.

That must be cool to go to an outdoor game. You should have bought tickets man! I wish they did something like that here, but of course the weather wouldn't co-operate.

The NBC commentators were freaking annoying. You're right, every two second they would be talking about him. Did you see how many highlight packages they had for him and how they would go over every single thing he did the entire game.

And yes, he just HAD to score the game winning goal...:rolleyes:

Yeah the CBC commentators are great (except for Bob Cole, because he ALWAYS mispronounces Huet's name in a horrible way and Harry Neale who is the most annoying sports personality out there).

 

Sure they talk about Sidney Crosby, but they also talk about Jordan Staal and other exciting players from both teams, they don't just focus on one guy and overkill.

 

 

 

On a side note, has anybody been watching the World Juniors? I'm watching Sweden vs. Russia right now. Russia is winning 1-0 arggggg :(

I'm not really following the World Juniors but I know Sweden vs Canada for Gold is tomorrow morning.

I'll be cheering for Sweden....so Go Sweden!
