What Happens To Your Body If You Drink A Coke Right Now?

When you look at the E numbers on the side of food packaging write them down and check the known side effects out on www.ukfoodguide.net - you'll feel ill.

It's all about keeping us down and stupid.

You've got a personality

We'll throw you in the sea and watch you drown

Dumb it down

Your concentration span's too long

It's longer than this song, that's not allowed

Dumb it down

You don't need books to know what's what

We'll pile them up and burn them to the ground

Dumb it down

And if you say that we're corrupt

We'll round you up and run you out of town

Dumb it down

Down and down and down it goes

Where it stops nobody knows

And not a lot of people seem to care

Well it's so crazy, it's so great

We can all communicate

But no one's saying anything out there

Is there anybody out there?

Intelligence is dangerous

A virus of the brain you pass around

Dumb it down

We'll vaccinate each boy and girl

Lobotomise the world through sight and sound

Dumb it down

No one can tell you what to think

And if you think that's true then you're a clown

Dumb it down

'Cause freedom's wasted on the free

You just don't see the beauty all around

Dumb it down

Down and down and down we slide

It's too tricky to decide

Between channels one and sixty-three

'Cause everything is mindless fluff

Like this world's not dumb enough

Does anybody feel the same as me?

Is there anybody listening?

I've been saying it for years: The more you appeal to society's lowest common denominator, the lower it gets.

2 questions, Garreth: Have you seen the movie Idiocracy, and who wrote the lyrics you posted?

I agree.

1 - I haven't seen it, no. I know of it though...

and 2 - Neil Hannon (The Divine Comedy) wrote those simple words - from a song called Dumb it Down.

I bet you a lot of the little kids who start school and are suddenly diagnosed with mild ADHD would just as suddenly have their symptoms dissappear if their parents stopped packing processed lunch meats. Meat preservatives - mainly nitrates- are the worst.

I have genetic ADD- the space cadet kind. I'm almost never hyper because of it. But within about 15 minutes of eating a hotdog I'm suddenly jittery and bouncy and my already abysmal attention span is cut in half. It was amazing the difference it made when I gave up lunch meat all together.

What are E numbers exactly? Is it some sort of additive code? They just use the big fancy scientific names here. All the better to confuse the customer with. :dozey:

And while sugar content in food is a HUGE problem that doesn't get enough attention so is the salt content in foods. Its disturbing how much salt is in our food, and what food it is in.

And the worst part is that now that the industry is cracking down on salt content, processors are starting to add even more sugar to food to make up for it.

Refined sugar is not a natural thing... the human body was never meant to handle it at all. And now it's in everything.

  • Author

Yeah, the E numbers are the additive codes.

It's mostly a European thing. Although, as you say, other countries do have them in - just the label won't carry the E Numbers and instead have the scientific term which can often be quite long.....although still easy to find on the site as they give both.

^ah, ok. Thanks.

Hey, did you hear about that book about Twinkies? Some guy tried to track down the origins and use of every single ingredient in a twinkie. Even just the writeups about it were pretty disturbing. For instance the "cream" is actually a couple of petrolium products.

Oh, that's sick.

There's no doubt.....Food is a major weapon.

Control the population by dumbing them down through addictive food products.

Its unfortunate that to eat healthy, have organic non-GM food costs so much more than just buying a cheap chocolate bar or high-sodium instant noodles.

Also while this food is bad for us there is always the fair-trade angle of things. Too bad humans have to eat.

p.s. I'm really enjoying this thread.

i dont drink any kind of soda

and i dont buy water that comes in bottles

w00t

:smug:

And what's more, all that plastic production is bad for the environment, and might even be bad for the water itself.;)

Yeah down with bottled water!! Our kitchen has two sinks with really nice filtered drinking water and if we need to take it out of the house we use those washable/reusable bottle/thermos thingies. :smug:

It's vile stuff!!

my mom and her husband just moved to a house where they have their own well of freakin' delicious water, and pretty much all i see my mom's husband drink is beer, milk, root beer and coffee. it confuses the shit out of me.

i had soft drinks twice today, it was sick. and then i put up christmas lights that had a warning label on them telling you to wash your hands thoroughly because "handling the coated electrical wires of the product exposes you to lead, a chemical known to the state of california to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm." off-topic, but this thread reminded me of it.

Maybe Christmas should come with a government health warning!!:stunned:

Does reading this put any of you off drinking coke,i think i won't be touching the stuff anymore!!

Yeah I heard about it on the radio the other morning, I forget what chemical it was exactly but its a big problem in baby bottles, our bottles, cds, and a whole bunch of other commonly found items.

You know, he's actually right. I see a "touch of fruit bottle" there. Bad stuff.....Aspartame!

But yes, filtered water is best....

Just make sure you have a decent filter.

Like these...... http://www.berkeywater.com/

Fantastic.

I prefer the taste of non-filtered water straight from the tap, I know it contains more chalk than filtered water due to the geology of this area.

It could contain more than chalk my friend.

I'm not dead yet, do nothing bad can happen in the quarter-mile of so from the source to the tap, but it comes with it's risks.

I heard that diet coke is worst for your body than normal coke, as the sugar-replacement products they use.

I am from New Zealand, and about 6 months ago someone from one of our political parties suggested that too many uneducated people were having children.

The solution?

Grinding down contraceptive pills and putting it in the drinking water.

The bill was shot down by pretty much everyone in parliament.

Yeah. That's right.....it's aspartame which is in many, many other products that are "sugar free".

Shit!

Glad that one was thrown out!

Sick Eugenicists are all over the world, I guess.

Could you pass on any articles/info you can find on that to me?
