SO GREAT, HEATH AS JOKER, BATMAN KICKING ASS, EVERYTHING TOO AWESOME!

 

It did bother me a little that Katie Holmes couldnt return as Rachel, while Maggie Gyllenhaal did good it was a little hard to get used to cuz Katie Holmes did it so well.

Heath was fantastic. Christian Bale is the best Batman ever. I liked this movie its pretty good. My only real gripe was the length and the editing. I feel it would have been better if it were more gorry they kept cutting away from scenes just as the joker was about to slice someone up... Lets see somemore grusome details! I also felt like they could have cut anywhere from 15 to 30 minutes out of it as some of it does drag a little. Keep it fast and tight paced... Maggie Gylenhall (sp) sucked! One she comes off snobby and she really isnt very pretty.

Yeah I know they wanted to keep the rating low for the kiddies. I wouldnt have minded at all for an all out adult version of the film. I dont know. When I read the reviews I was expecting more gore and horror. In my own sick way I was looking forward to the thrills AND the chills. But Ledger was so good you didnt really need it. It would have kept alot of people from seeing the movie if it had been bloodier. So, I guess its all good in the end. The more I sit and think about the movie the more I realize how complex all of the emotions were.

I honestly feel sorry for his ex-wife and kids.

It must feel horrible for them everyone (and I mean every 'friggin' one on the entire planet!!!) is raving this movie, and Heath's part in it.

 

I don't think they'll ever be able to enjoy this movie's success and the massive hype surrounding it. In fact, it must be devastating.

I didn't like Maggie replacing Katie either. Why couldn't Katie Holmes be Rachel one more time? :\

But I'm glad it didn't have too much gore, that adds to the suspense. The length was almost torture though. But it seems like the best movies are the longest. [see The Green Mile and Titanic]

Oh oh oh! I didn't know she was pregnant during the filming of The Dark Knight. :o :laugh3: I thought it was because of Tom Cruise, apparently studios find it hard to work with her because of him.

 

Maggie was a little annoying as Rachel but my friend and I bawled like a baby when she died. :bigcry:

 

I saw it yesterday and completely fell in love with it.

Heath is mindblowing from the first second he's on screen, his voice, his posture, his gestures, P E R F E C T.

 

One thing I loved was that the plot was extremely well developed, it made sense, which is unbelievable being a superhero flick and all. I mean, even the smallest detail, like

how Two Face got his face burnt.

. They NEVER underestimate the fact that Batman has no superpowers

(tiny spoiler: he gets bruises and everything)

and Christopher Nolan took the time to explain the little things. Absolutely nothing is random.

Aaron was great in his transformation both physically (which I guess it's the art deparment's credit) and mentally.

 

There is nothing in this movie which is not perfect! Heath totally kicked Jack Nicholson's ass as the Joker.

 

EDIT: watching this film actually made me want to kick George Clooney and Chris O'Donell in the nuts. As I said, there's an excellent storyline to follow, and Christian Bale plays a cool and sensitive Batman. Not to mention he's SMOKING

I hate to jump on the bandwagon, but Heath Ledger... FUCK ME HE WAS GOOD.

I am actually depressed that we'll never get to see him do more dark characters in the future, he showed his versatility and his talent 10000000000000000000%. If you need a reason to see this movie, ANY reason, make it Heath Ledgers performance, I guarantee he will win ALOT of awards for this performance (not just because he's dead :rolleyes:) - I don't think I've seen a performance THIS great!
