Just finished watching the new episode in high quality online, and I pretty much LOVED it :)

 

It is completely different so far though. Only really the concept of Torchwood and three characters remain the same.

 

But on this basis I'd strongly suggest everyone gives it a chance!!

 

It's more or less exactly what you'd expect with the American co-production. I'm aware though that the US and UK versions are slightly different. I can imagine they might switch out some of the US scenes (it was heavily US-based) for UK ones in 'our' broadcast.

 

I don't think (?) it's aired yet in the US, but it's been available in advance online for at least four hours if you live in the States:

I learned about proxies today, finally, and watched it using a US one. I tried quite a few but found one that worked well (from the UK). It was butter-smooth over my 8mb connection, and it's the third one down on here:

And this is the page where I learned how to set the proxy in Firefox (but it's easy, just Tools>Options>Advanced>Settings>select the Manual Proxy Configuration box>(enter the details of the proxy)>check the box underneath for 'Use This Proxy Server For All Protocols>click OK at the bottom of the box>click OK at the bottom of the main box>go to the webpage):

ok so i have a theory about the whole miracle day situation:

 

So, you know how Jack is a fixed point in space and time because of Rose Tyler? Well, the fact that he is mortal now makes me think this entire “Miracle Day” situation is more of a “time-alteration timey-wimey thing” and not a “divine intervention thing.” Do you get what I mean?

Yeah I know exactly what you mean because that's what I thought too but I'm not sure what exactly has caused it and they'll drag it out a bit more seen as it's 10 episodes as opposed to 5 last series, 456 said that millions of children died every year and that and there was shortages of food.
